French Farmers and International Development (Afdi) is an association of agricultural professionals, whose mission is to build partnerships between the French agricultural world and countries of the South. For nearly 50 years, Afdi has supported the strengthening of peasant organizations, in their internal governance, in their advocacy and the implementation of services for their members.
To contribute to the development of its actions, Afdi is looking for a project manager.
Your missions will be:
- Country responsibility : ensure the strategic coordination of Afdi partnerships and initiatives in a country(ies);
- Thematic responsibility : ensure the strategic coordination of Afdi interventions on themes of interest;
- Participate in actions to ensure consistency and revitalize the Afdi network : team meetings, permanent seminars, General Assembly, Afdi Network Days, etc.
Training and experience
- Training in international development, agronomy or equivalent; baccalaureate level +4/5;
- Professional experience of at least 5 years in the international cooperation sector.
SKILLS
- General knowledge of agriculture and peasant organizations;
- Mastery of the project cycle: management, monitoring, evaluation, capitalization;
- Excellent synthesis and writing skills;
- Skills in technical and financial monitoring and reporting of development projects;
- Capacity to coordinate collective dynamics within the framework of multi-actor partnerships and in complex contexts;
- Meeting facilitation skills.
Human and relational qualities
- Adaptability, autonomy and responsiveness;
- Interpersonal skills ;
- Ability and taste for teamwork;
- Interest in the associative sector.
Status: permanent contract (CDI);
Location: position based in Paris 8th (Miromesnil metro), with international missions;
Salary: depending on experience (between €33 and €36k gross annually);
Teleworking charter, family mutual insurance, access to the company restaurant;
