Mali Acted

Since 2012, Acted has been mobilized in Mali in response to the complex crisis and structural and economic challenges facing the country, with interventions that combine emergency operations and development programs. The’Acted teams (today’Hui 11 international employees and 160 national employees) supported more than ’1 million people in 6 regions of Mali: Segou, Mopti, Gao, Menaka, Timbuktu and Bamako.

Main role and responsibilities

The/the Country Director Assistant.e – Field Operations and Implementation Projects – is a key member of the country-wide senior management team’. He/She will support and assist the/the Country Director (CD) in ensuring that all projects in the country are carried out in a fluid and efficient manner, and, in line with’Acted and donor procedures and legal requirements.

Main Responsibilities :

Monitoring of project implementation

  • Planning of projects ;
  • Implementation and monitoring of projects ;
  • Quality control of projects ;
  • Management of partners ;
  • External relations.

Administrative and Operational Management of Project Implementation

  • Finance ;
  • Logistics ;
  • Administration/HR ;
  • Transparency/Conformity ;
  • Security ;
  • Partners in the implementation.

Qualifications and skills required

  • Higher education (Master) ;
  • Editorial abilities ;
  • Experience abroad on management positions of 3 years minimum ;
  • Knowledge of the area is an asset ;
  • Very strong organizational capabilities ;
  • Experience in the management of major teams, national and international ;
  • Experience in project management, particularly with an institutional component ;
  • Experience in the field of community participation, the link with local authorities ;
  • Management and administration skills ;
  • Flexibility, adaptation, resistance to stress ;
  • Patience and negotiating spirit, excellent written and oral communication skills.

Conditions

  • Salary defined by the Acted salary grid according to the level of’studies,’expertise, the level of safety and the level of experience : between 3300 and 3400 € monthly net (before income taxes)
  • Monthly living expenses allowance 300$
  • Guesthouse accommodation and food supported by Acted
  • Social security, mutual insurance (MSH) and repatriation assistance (SOS International) supported by Acted
  • Transport to the mission and return ticket fully supported every 6 months (to the’address specified on the employment contract)
  • Visa fees supported by Acted
  • R&R every 3 months (aircraft ticket’ supported up to’ 500$ + additional allowance of 200$)
  • One week of preparation for departure including 4 days of immersion safety training
  • Possibility of’having a call of 30 minutes with a consultant in taxation
  • Psychological support (meet with a professional.le)
