Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is an independent medical NGO founded in 1971, working in more than 70 countries. Its teams provide relief to populations in distress, victims of disasters of natural or human origin, without any discrimination based on race, religion, philosophy or politics. She received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999.
We are looking for, in support of the Communication department, an Intern or Work-study Press Relations Assistant.
Mission :
Within the press team:
- You are in charge of press reviews in support of the press center and for internal distribution.
- You participate in the quantitative and qualitative analysis of media coverage, in the evaluation and improvement of the tools put in place for media analysis.
- You participate in the implementation of national and local press strategies for operational, institutional and event communications.
- You participate in the regular updating of media databases and journalist files.
- You participate in the general activity of the press relations department: ensuring media reminders, sending press releases and press information, preparing press conferences.
- You participate and take notes at the weekly Info Point, on MSF’s operational activity.
- You participate in the general activity of the communications department.
Required profile :
Training: minimum BAC+3 level in Human Sciences and/or Information and Communication / Journalism.
Skills: Mastery of Pack Office and social networks.
Required qualities :
Rigor, analytical skills, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, very good writing skills.
Strong interest in media and international relations/humanitarian sector.
Languages: French and good level of English (B1 minimum).
Status: Internship lasting 5 to 6 months full-time (35 hours per week) – Mandatory internship agreement. Or 1-year work-study program with work-study contract provided by your school. Based in Paris.
Conditions :
Internship condition: The amount of the bonus is between €4.35 and €7.70 gross per hour depending on the level of studies, for internships lasting more than one month.
1 restaurant voucher is awarded per day worked, with a face value of €11 (60% covered by Médecins Sans Frontières). 2 days of compensated rest per month (for internships longer than one month). 50% coverage of the public transport subscription (no coverage of train tickets for residents outside Ile de France coming to work in Paris).
Work-study condition: Remuneration from 43% to 100% of the minimum wage depending on age and level of education.
Supplementary health care 100% covered by MSF. Restaurant vouchers with a face value of €11 (60% covered by Médecins Sans Frontières). 50% coverage of the public transport subscription.
