Context & Mission
Médecins Sans Frontières is an independent international medical and humanitarian organization that provides care to those in need, people affected by natural or man-made disasters and victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and without taking into account race, religion, beliefs or political affiliation ( MSF Charter ).
MSF is more than 95% funded by the generosity of its private donors. The Philanthropy unit is one of the 6 business cells of the Department of Communication and Fund Research. Composed of 17 people, it raised more than CHF 70 million last year from individuals, foundations, businesses and Cantons / Municipalities.
Le-la Intern in Fundingraising will work in close collaboration with all members of the Philanthropy unit, with members of the Communication and Fund Research department as well as those of other MSF departments.
Main responsibilities
Support for Fund Research activities
- Update of the database according to new information ( addresses, tel, email, etc. )
- Writing and processing letters of thanks
- Help in monitoring contact portfolios ( cantons / municipalities, companies, foundations, individuals etc. )
- Ad hoc support for the organization of events
- Telephone contacts with certain donors for ad hoc projects
- Support for loyalty and reactivation activities for the various targets
- Participation in the prospecting of specific information on major donors ( companies, foundations, individuals, and cantons / municipalities )
- Support for French / English translation and readings ( other desirable languages )
- Help in writing and proofreading files, fundraising ( proposals ), PowerPoint reports and presentations for major Donors
Administrative support
- Support for monitoring donations
- Participation and rendering of the minutes of cell meetings
- Preparation of micro-mailings ( formatting, direct mail, sending )
- Support for the recruitment of the following trainee
Profile sought
- University level training
- French mother tongue, excellent English, knowledge of German and Italian: one more
- Mastery of usual IT tools ( continued MS Office, 365 ). CRM experience, one more
- Excellent editorial and synthesis capacities
- Proactivity, autonomy, initiative, rigor and sense of organization
- Flexibility and team spirit
- Marked interest in humanitarian aid
- Good ability to adapt to a multicultural work environment
- Previous experience ( internship or other ) welcome

- Mandatory tripartite internship agreement
- Internship 6 to 12 months at 100% ( depending on the internship agreement )
- Based in Geneva
- Date of entry into office: December 4, 2023
- Gross monthly remuneration: CHF 2,000.-
