Intern – HR attached to the Management and the conduct of HR projects At Doctors Without Borders

Médecins Sans Frontières, an international humanitarian medical association created in 1971, provides medical assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: mainly in the event of armed conflicts, but also epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters or even exclusion from care. The French section is present in around thirty countries.

We are looking for a Intern – HR attached to the Management and the conduct of HR projects

Objectives of the internship :

  • Soak up the working culture in the headquarters of an International Humanitarian Organization and understand the relationships between headquarters and the field
  • Participate in the management of complex HR projects in accordance with the strategic plan

This internship will allow you to acquire practical experience of immersion in the daily life of the HR function and in project management in order to develop your coordination skills, in communication and problem solving.

Within the Human Resources Department, under the responsibility of the Deputy HRD and Project Manager, the trainee « Attaché.e to the Management and the conduct of HR projects » will have the role of providing general assistance to the HR department ( cartography, tools, participation in meetings … ), in addition to contributing to the effective deployment of associated action plans both at headquarters and in the field, examples: HR / International Social Benefits, Social Dialogue, Gender Plan…

Management of headquarters / field projects

  • Ensure the progress of projects, respect for deliverables and ensure coordination between internal stakeholders, including land and headquarters teams
  • Actively participate in the establishment and monitoring of consultation with all staff ( 5 countries )
  • Participate in data collection and their analyzes through meetings organized with the various stakeholders
  • Participate in the preparation of documents and project tools, such as kit practices, maps, plans, progress reports and presentations
  • Contribute to the development of recommendations for the improvement of projects ( capitalization of returns « users » )

Daily support for HRD :

Information gathering, Planning, Communication :

  • Establish a ( map identify and cross-check information from different sources )
  • Update the databases of the main deliverables and associated indicators
  • Organize and feed the SharePoint space
  • Prepare information and communication media

Research, analysis and benchmark

  • Perform a comparative analysis with existing models within the MSF movement or in organizations comparable to MSF
  • Gather and document the main context elements ( history, environmental evolution, rational / problematic, key factors / indicators, etc. )

Profile sought :

Training :

You have a minimum BAC + 3 in organizational management, human resources, project management or equivalent.

Skills :

  • Control of the pack office and the environment O365 ( Teams, SharePoint, Power-Bi … ).
  • Understanding of HR and humanitarian issues
  • Editorial capacities ( conciseness, precision ).
  • Analytical and synthesis spirit

Languages : You are fluent in English and French, both written and oral.

Status : 6-month internship, with compulsory tripartite internship agreement. Based in Paris, Jaurès metro.

Conditions : : Compensation according to level of education ( from 4.48 € / hour Bac + 3 to 6.55 € / hour Bac + 5 and more ).

Restaurant titles as a function of the time of presence of a face value of 11 € ( 60% coverage by Médecins Sans Frontières ); 2 days of rest compensated per month ; Support for 50% of the public transport subscription ( no handling of train tickets for residents outside the Ile de France coming to work in Paris ).

Start of the internship : As soon as possible.
