Human Resources Officer – Regional At Action against Hunger Spain


Under the leadership of its hierarchical and functional managers, the HR Officer facilitates administrative management in personnel matters, especially supporting the implementation of the global HR strategy, and guaranteeing the correct use of HR management tools, Action against Hunger in the Colombia mission; performs its tasks in accordance with Colombian law and the organization’s HR policy.

The main activities you will carry out are the following:

Goal 1: Support in human talent management

  • Implement and monitor in the Region and in the field teams of Action against Hunger, accompanied by the HR Department of the mission, of HR strategy and HR policies
  • Manages, in accompaniment of team leaders, the recruitment and selection processes for personnel ( call, reception of CVs, citation to tests, participation in interviews, verification of titles / ID/diploma ) guaranteeing transparency and compliance with the selection policy.
  • It prepares the contracts of the local personnel who enter as part of the UGC and the local personnel who enter as part of the field teams of the Hunger Action Region. It also prepares the renewal of current contracts.
  • Follow up on employment contracts, trial periods, notifications of contract termination of local personnel of the Hunger Action Region field teams
  • Conduct exit surveys
  • Follow-up on performance, disability and vacation evaluations of local field team personnel in the Hunger Action Region
  • Make affiliations of personnel entering the Social Security system
  • Prepare labor certificates, apply for institutional card and payroll account openings
  • Keeps updated the personnel file of the Hunger Action Region
  • Participates in audits regarding staff documentation
  • Ensures that the people who join are up to date in hiring, carrying out the reception plan (welcome), signing institutional documents
  • Ensures updating of information related to HR: personnel list, People platform, contact data list, organization chart, job descriptions
  • Promotes and supervises compliance with the internal regulations of all personnel hired by ACH-E in Colombia
  • Preparation of news reports on the monthly payroll of the Hunger Action Region
  • Follow up on developments affecting Social Security and Parafiscal payments of local staff in the Hunger Action Region
  • Prepares settlements and severance payments for local staff in the Hunger Action Region
  • Provides training and support to employees in the implementation of administrative processes related to HR: performance evaluations based on competencies, job descriptions, etc.

Objective 2: Carry out other specific tasks to support the office related to their position and responsibilities.

  • Execute those tasks inherent to the position that are requested according to the context and needs of the Regional

Does this description fit with you?

  1. Professional Graduated in the administrative, financial or related areas of office.
  2. Knowledge in labor legislation and occupational safety, HR management.
  3. Minimum experience of 2 years in administrative and human resources work.
  4. Understanding the rights approach particularly in relation to conflict dynamics and peacebuilding
  5. Desirable Knowledge of the organization and its axes of action
  6. Languages: intermediate English ( spoken and / or written ).
  7. Office of office tools domain ( Office ); essential advanced Excel management. Knowledge of ICT tools.
  8. Availability for geographical mobility (travel to work areas, punctual support for them).
  9. Commitments to gender equality and zero tolerances to abuse: Valuable previous experience on issues related to the promotion of gender equality or personal commitment to gender equality.
