Today we have a budget of about 230 million euros, with 4755 employees worldwide.

CONTEXT :

Humanity & Inclusion ( HI ) has been present in Chad discontinuously since the 1990s and permanently since 2014. HI is now operating in N’Djamena, in Borkou ( Nord ), Ennedi ( Nord Est ), Tibesti ( North-West ), in Moundou, Doba and Goré ( South ), Kanem (, BeG ( Moussoro ) and at Lake Chad in Ngouri, Bol and Baga Sola ( West ).

The main current areas of intervention are :

  • Mine action including technical and non-technical investigations, risk education, mine clearance, and depollution ;
  • Functional rehabilitation ( kinesitherapy, orthopedics, equipment ) ;
  • Inclusive education ;
  • Emergency education and protection ;
  • The socio-economic integration of the most vulnerable households, in particular through the development of AGR, and vocational training ;
  • Inclusive local development and support for community solidarity.

YOUR MISSION :

Under the responsibility of the Country / Program Director, you define and apply the HR component of the Program strategy in your geographic area.

Your main responsibilities will be :

Management :

  • You design the HR part of the Operational Strategy and supervise the associated action plan ;
  • You deploy the standards and contribute to the expertise and responsibility of HI in your area of responsibility.

Operational implementation of HR :

  • You supervise the size and quality of the Program’s resources ;
  • You supervise the career management and skills development systems of the program.

Social and Legal aspects :

  • You are responsible for maintaining the social environment and the conformity of the program ;
  • You support the Country/Program Director in the deployment of the HR part of the code of conduct and the law on environmental protection, anti-fraud and anti-corruption policy and other institutional policies.

YOUR PROFILE :

  • You have experience in the management of Human Resources, especially at a distance ;
  • You have’ experience with international NGOs, and know the humanitarian principles ;
  • You master institutional frameworks (policies, standards and guidelines)
  • You master the methods of management, recruitment, and’administration of personnel ;
  • You are able to’help your team members to progress, in autonomy and skills ;
  • Resistant to stress, you show’organization and rigor ;
  • A good command of French, both at’oral and’ written is essential.

SPECIFICITIES/PARTICULARITIES OF THE POSITION :

The position is based in N’Djamena in collective housing. The offices are air-conditioned and comfortable. N’Djamena is a secure capital (few’incidents, strong presence of security forces) where it is quite good to live (restaurants, bars, supermarkets, bakeries, hotel complexes, etc.). N’Djamena brings together a strong expatriate community. Many sports are practicable (tennis, boxing, yoga, golf..). Safety rules are in place to minimize the’ exposure to risks but these measures remain limited to the places most at risk to allow to lead a quasi-normal life.

  • International contract of 4 months from ideally 01/07/2024
  • The international contract allows social coverage adapted to the needs of each
    • Unemployment insurance levied only for nationals of’UE
    • Retirement insurance
    • Health coverage, repatriation, pension covered by HI and’employee
  • Salary : from 2869 € gross/month according to professional experience
  • Perdiem : 736.92 € net/month – paid in local currency on the ground
  • Hardship : 250 € net/month
  • Paid leave : 25 Days per year ;
  • R&R : 5 days every 3 months
  • Post : not accompanied
