Founded in 1991, Secours Islamique France (SIF) is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) for emergency relief and development. SIF acts in strict neutrality, without distinction of origin, gender or religion and is dedicated to alleviating the suffering of the poorest populations in the world.
Secours Islamique France is looking for a Head of Mission for its mission based in Antanarivo, Madagascar .
In Madagascar, the intervention sectors of the SIF are today clearly at the heart (childhood and food security) and/or at the crossroads (WASH) of the needs of populations in vulnerable situations of the island.
Thus, since 2009, ensuring food security for the majority of rural populations has been a top priority.
You will be under the supervision of the desk manager and in line with the field, logistics and program coordinators.
Your main missions will be the following (non-exhaustive and evolving list):
- Meet the key actors of the institutions and organizations involved, analyze the context and priorities.
- Develop the medium and long-term FIS programme strategy for the mission.
- Strengthening the operational capacities of local partner associations
- Represent the FIS, to local and national authorities, UN agencies, donors and international NGOs
- Develop collaboration with local partners and beneficiaries.
- Organize and oversee capacity building and national staff development.
- Monitor the security context (including participation in local /national ONGI / UN security meetings in the absence or in the company of the logistician)
- Oversee logistical and programmatic aspects with coordinators.
- Oversee all financial management of the mission and projects
Profile :
KNOWLEDGE/KNOWLEDGE :
- Professional experience of’at least 5 years
- Master 2 in Humanitarian Management /International cooperation /Project management
- 5years of field experience, including 2 years minimum on positions of Head of Mission
- Managerial skills
- Very good context analysis capacity (security management, humanitarian context..).
- Experience in managing the project cycle
- Essential editorial skills
- Know-how in terms of training/coaching (meaning of pedagogy)
- Mastery of a foreign language is a plus
- Perfect mastery of computer tools (Pack Office)

Post located at Antananarivo
Travel (France /international) ; Frequent travel to Morombe.
Conditions :
- CDD in use, 12 months, full-time, renewable
