About the position:
As a Graphic Design Trainer at Multi Aid Programs (MAPS), you will play a vital role in our project to provide blinded learning courses for youth. Your primary responsibility will be providing online training sessions for trainees, equipping them with the necessary skills to excel in the global freelance market. Under the supervision of the Technical Advisor, you will collaborate to develop comprehensive curricula and oversee weekly tasks, ensuring that the training aligns with industry standards and empowers participants to unleash their creative potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Development: Work closely with the Technical Advisor to design a structured curriculum that covers essential graphic design concepts, tools, and techniques.
2. Training Delivery: Conduct engaging and interactive online training sessions to educate trainees on graphic design principles, software proficiency, and best practices.
3. Individualized Support: Provide personalized guidance and feedback to each trainee, addressing their unique learning needs and fostering skill development.
4. Task Coordination: Collaborate with the Technical Advisor to design weekly tasks and assignments that reinforce learning objectives and encourage practical application of skills.
5. Project Supervision: Oversee semi and final projects, guiding trainees through the creative process from concept ideation to execution, ensuring adherence to project specifications and deadlines.
6. Resource Development: Develop supplementary materials, such as tutorials, case studies, and reference guides, to enhance the learning experience and support trainees’ ongoing growth.
7. Assessment and Evaluation: Assess trainees’ progress through regular evaluations and performance assessments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures as needed.
8. Professional Development: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in graphic design, continually updating your own skills and knowledge to enhance the quality of training delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferred in architecture, Visual Communication, or related fields.
- Proven experience as a graphic designer with a strong portfolio showcasing creative projects across various mediums (5 Years of experience is preferred).
- Previous experience in teaching, training, or mentoring individuals in graphic design concepts and software applications, holding a ToT certificate is preferable.
- Proficiency in industry-standard graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively in a virtual learning environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Demonstrated passion for education, creativity, and empowering youth to succeed in the global market.
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and instructional design principles is a plus.
- Fluent Arabic language, and a good level of English Language is essential.
