Mission and objectives
Established in Benin since 1962, UNDP signed a basic agreement with the Government in 1974. UNDP Benin wants to be a privileged partner of the Government for the’operationalization of the’Agenda 2030 and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through services of’ support consultancy, advocacy and implementation of policies and development strategies focused on accelerated growth and structural transformation for sustainable and equitable development. In connection with the UNDP Strategic Plan 2018-2021 and national priorities such as’elles emerge from the Government Action Programme 2016-2021, in, the 2018-2025 National Development Plan and the 2018-2021 Growth and Sustainable Development Programme, the UNDP-Benin Office is endowed with a’ Pro-gramme-Country Document (CPD) for the period 2019-2023.Part of the United Nations Framework for Cooperation on Sustainable Development 2019-2023, this new programmatic cycle revolves around two major axes of’intervention namely (i) the promotion of’an inclusive, strong and sustainable economic growth and (ii) the consolidation of democracy, and, of the’ Rule of Law and the promotion of good governance.
Context
In Benin, the UNDP supports the Government on the basis of a cooperation framework called CPD ( Country Program Document ), also called in French Country Program Document. The Country Program Document is the tool for operationalizing UNDP development actions in countries. In accordance with the United Nations Framework for Cooperation on Sustainable Development and national priorities, UNDP, in its Country Program, will focus its interventions for the next 2024-2026 cooperation cycle on two pillars, namely: a ) resilience, sustainable growth and employment; b ) the rule of law, democracy, governance and social cohesion. As a prelude to the official launch of this new cooperation program,a number of communication materials are planned.

Task description
We are looking for 1 online volunteer who, under the direction of the UNDP communications manager, will assist in the graphic design and layout of the following materials : – Two ( 2 ) kakemonos posters on the 2 pillars of the Country Programs – A document door in 435 mm x 415 mm format – A foldable 6-page leaflet, 21 cm x 60 cm format presentation of the 2024-2026 Country Program of UNDP Benin – The Country Program Document 2024-2026 The online Volunteer is asked to : – Propose a concept, a creative and quite attractive design for the presentation of the above documents listed for the launch of the new Country Program ; – Collect the content to be used for the layout of communication media ;- Search outside the images which will be images provided by the UNDP Benin of other free of rights online to illustrate the activities well. – Realize graphic designs and layout of communication media. The execution of this task must comply with the UNDP branding directives, which will be communicated in advance to the online volunteer.
Requirements
Required experience
The candidate ( e ) must have experience in graphics, computer graphics and good skills in visual communication. Mastery of the main graphic design and photo editing software ( Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Canvas, Photoshop ); Strong knowledge in graphic design for print and digital media ; Ability to convert complex and abstract ideas into simple visual concepts; Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time ; Capable of working in a multicultural environment and being aware of political sensitivities; Familiarity with the main social media platforms; Solid organizational skills ;
