Job Description
Under the responsibility of the desk manager, you have operational responsibility for the entire mission in Burkina Faso.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Recruit, manage and supervise the training needs of the entire mission team
- Define the operational and advocacy strategy in collaboration with the coordination team, the desk manager and the volunteer executives of the mission
- Plan and monitor activities, implement corrective measures if necessary and provide technical support to your team
- Represent MdM to authorities, local stakeholders, partners, donors and the media
- Ensure the monitoring of collaboration agreements with partners, authorities and donors, seek and develop new partnerships and carry out or supervise the search for financing
- Ensure the financial management of the mission by supervising construction and budgetary monitoring and donor financing
- Develop, adapt and monitor the application of security rules and procedures and manage crisis management in the territory
- Establish and monitor the application of MdM frameworks, policies and procedures on programmatic and support aspects
- Supervise internal and donor reporting
PROFILE :
- Higher education in project management or generalist (BAC+5)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a position of head of mission/general coordinator in a volatile security context and on emergency projects
- Essential experience in an NGO in a coordination role
- Experience in developing and implementing health project procedures and programs (including sexual and reproductive health and emergencies/crises) and/or advocacy
- Recent experience in the Sahelian zone desired
- Representation and negotiation with the authorities
- Analyze the context and consequences of an intervention, assess risks and constraints, determine priorities
- Analyze external risks and threats weighing on team security, alert
- Crisis management
- Manage and follow a budget
- Prioritize and adapt your planning to hazards
- Plan, manage and adapt a project, including emergencies
- Interest in human rights (including Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights) and International Humanitarian Law
- Languages: Perfect command of French and English desirable

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

- Gross monthly salary of 3,964 euros
