Takaful Al Sham (TAS) has been responding to the Syrian crisis since 2012 and to the Refugee Response in Turkiye since 2013. TAS works in Education, Early Recovery, Food Security, Livelihood & Empowerment, WASH, Protection, Shelter, CCCM, and Emergency Response, where TAS has implemented successfully more than 130 projects in Direct partnership with Institutional donors, UN Agencies, and INGOs such as; BHA, SCHF, UNICEF, WFP, UNDP, IOM, CARE, GOAL, Save the Children, Global Communities, World Vision, DRC, WHH, Archenova, Chemonics. Job summary:

The GBV Supervisor will be responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring all activities related to the prevention and response to gender-based violence within the organization’s project or community. They will lead a team and collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure effective GBV prevention, support, and advocacy initiatives are in place.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Plan, develop, and oversee GBV prevention and response programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.

· Design and implement effective strategies to prevent GBV, promote gender equality, and empower individuals within the targeted communities.

· Supervise a team of GBV specialists and officers, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure effective program implementation.

· Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.

· Collaborate with relevant organizations, government bodies, and community stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive response to GBV issues.

· Represent the organization in relevant GBV-related meetings, workshops, and conferences to advocate for best practices and policies.

· Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation systems to track the progress and impact of GBV programs.

· Analyze data, generate reports, and recommend improvements based on findings to enhance program effectiveness.

· Conduct public awareness campaigns and advocacy initiatives to raise awareness about GBV, gender equality, and women’s empowerment.

· Advocate for policies and practices that promote GBV prevention and support the rights of survivors

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience of at least two years in managing and implementing GBV prevention and response programs.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong knowledge of gender-based violence issues, prevention strategies, and relevant international frameworks and conventions.

• Previous experience working with children in times of disaster.

• A very good level of presentation, presentation, effective communication (oral and written) and speaking with confidence.

• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team.

• Familiar with the principles of humanitarian action and the principles of protection.
