SCOPE OF WORK

This position aims to ensure the implementation of financial and accounting systems and procedures in accordance with approved regulations.

TERMS OF REFERENCE

  • Duty station: Turkey – Gaziantep
  • Line manager: Account Coordinator
  • Line management Responsibility: N/A
  • Full-time/Part-time: Full-time

Responsibilities

Administrative tasks

  1. Coordinates and collaborates with departmental staff regarding departmental activities.
  2. Assists in preparing periodic financial reports on the department’s performance.
  3. Participates in internal meetings as assigned.
  4. Assists/regularly reviews the policy and procedure manual for the department.
  5. Presents proposals and developmental initiatives for departmental work.

Technical tasks

  1. Verify all expense-related documents, ensuring their integrity and compliance with approved policies and procedures.
  2. Participate in procurement, tenders, and practices in accordance with financial regulations, rules, and guidelines governing such activities.
  3. Enter all financial data provided by relevant departments (procurement, human resources, administration).
  4. Process expenditure permits after reviewing all submitted documentation.
  5. Review modifications to payroll, allowances, and compensation sheets, process and settle associated transactions.
  6. Print all accounting entries after input, sign them as a preparer, and submit them to the senior accounts officer or coordinator for review and verification.
  7. Provide periodic reports as required by financial management.
  8. Audit and review cash and bank financial operations, prepare files for payments through the bank.
  9. Enter all financial transactions received from the cash and bank department.
  10. Audit documentation related to Turkish financial operations.
  11. Perform other duties related to the nature of the job as assigned.
  12. Knowledge of local financial laws

Note: the above-mentioned responsibilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart or title.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance ( accounting )
  • A minimum of three 3 years experience in the field.
  • A minimum of three 3 years experience in accounting programs .
  • The Arabic language is the mother tongue and good level in English.

Preferred:

  • Experience in accounting programs (Almanara . Quickbooks)
  • 5 years experience in the field.
  • Very good level in English .
  • Good level in Turkish.
