CFI implements the Project Innovative journalism in Iraq (JOII) over a period of 2 years and 2 months of extension, from May 2022 to June 2024 in collaboration with the’Academie France Media Monde. This project is funded by the Solidarity Fund for Innovative Projects (FSPI) Ministry of’Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) via the’Ambassade de France in Iraq for an amount of 565 103 euros. The general objective of this project is to strengthen the skills of journalists working in the public service media Iraq Media Network(IMN) through certifying professional trainings and to complete the journalism curriculum proposed by the Faculty of Media of the University of Baghdad’ (FMUB) in order to achieve international standards and strengthen’employability of students and students.
The’ project revolves around 2 main components of’ activities : 1) Contribute to the strengthening of good journalism practices within’Iraqi Media Network (IMN) and within the media faculty of’ University of Baghdad (FMUB) ; 2) To support the professionalization of journalism students at’University of Baghdad (FMUB).
The final external evaluation of this project will cover the entire’ period of project execution and will aim to evaluate the project according to the CAD criteria of relevance, coherence, efficiency, effects, etc, impacts and sustainability (see full document).
