Field MEAL Assistant At Orange


General Description of the Organization:

Job Purpose:

Under the direct supervision of the Field MEAL Officer, the MEAL Assistant is responsible for monitoring and evaluating all project activities. Also, present clear and confidential data and information related to accountability and learning components.

Duties, objectives, and competencies:

  • Work closely with the Field MEAL Officer to provide needed information and data.
  • Ensure transparent, accurate, and timely collection of data by implementing surveys on household and community levels, conducting focus groups or other participatory data collection tools, as well as collecting secondary data from secondary sources of information.
  • Conduct needs assessment activities on the field level and collect necessary data as per defined tools and techniques.
  • Participate in the internal evaluation and conduct field visits depending on project activities.
  • Follow-up accountability activities and ensure that all trackers’ info is filled and documented properly.
  • Organize and update the M&E database, files, and records.
  • Produce progress reports based on collected data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Including the successful delivery of Field Monitoring Reports (FMRs) and Initial Evaluation Forms (IEFs).
  • Work closely with the project team and Field MEAL Officer to ensure the commitment to the implementation plan.
  • Assist the staff to understand M&E tools (forms and data collection methods).
  • Support other tasks as required by the Field MEAL Officer.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related technical field. Other specializations may be accepted based on previous experience and records.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in the MEAL field.
  • Fluent in Arabic. English is highly preferred and desirable.
  • Experience in data analysis and producing field reports.
  • Thorough knowledge of quantitative and qualitative data collection methods is essential.
  • Proven experience in conducting field research.
  • Maturity and professional ability to handle sensitive information and ability to respect confidentiality.
  • Resourcefulness with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
  • Good written and oral presentation skills.
