ABA ROLI is in the process of recruiting a team of experts to collaborate in the development of agendas and the facilitation of training courses for officials of the labor justice, as part of the project ”Strengthening of the Legal Representation of Workers and Trade Unions in Mexico”.

The participation of consultants specialized in any of the following subjects:

one. Trainer of Workers in Labor Conciliation Advice;

2. Techniques, Skills and Skills of Oral Litigation for Preliminary Hearing and Oral Trial Hearing;

3. Formator of Formators in Techniques, Skills and Skills of Oral Litigation for Preliminary Audience and Oral Trial Hearing;

4. Freedom of association and collective bargaining, and

5. Collective bargaining provisions of the T-MEC.

ABA ROLI is an international non-profit organization that implements legal reform and rule of law programs in more than 40 countries around the world. ABA ROLI has nearly 400 professional employees working abroad and at its Washington, DC office. ABA ROLI host country partners include judges, attorneys, bar associations, law schools, court administrators, legislatures, ministries of justice and a wide range of civil society organizations, including human rights groups.

Description of the Consulting Person Position

The ABA ROLI office in Mexico is looking for lawyers specialized in litigation techniques, skills and skills; as well as the labor conciliation of the New Model of Labor Justice, with competences in ethics, human rights and gender perspective, to integrate as instructors in the courses-workshops planned within the framework of the project ”Strengthening of the Legal Representation of Workers and Trade Unions in Mexico”.

The first stage will consist of joint collaboration to prepare the curriculum. Subsequently, the trainings will be carried out virtually, combining asynchronous and synchronous modalities, focusing on the development of practical skills through the analysis and simulation of hypothetical cases and concrete examples.

The planned work involves a dedication of 5 working days a month. In addition to the services provided, ABA ROLI will issue an international record to the consulting person in addition to the payment for the services provided. This role provides a valuable opportunity to contribute to strengthening the labor system in Mexico and participate in a project with a significant impact.

Responsibilities

· Attend communications with ABA ROLI Mexico staff.

· Attend meetings scheduled by ABA ROLI Mexico staff.

· Send in time and form the documentation and administrative information required by ABA ROLI Mexico staff.

· Be prepared and connected 10 minutes before the start of any activity with ABA ROLI Mexico.

· Deliver on time the materials that are required by ABA ROLI Mexico staff, such as slides, videos, activities, etc.

· Use material (videos, images, documents) in the public domain, that do not violate the copyright or intellectual property of other people.

· Conduct during the development of activities with the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in their relationships with ABA ROLI staff and other consulting and participating colleagues.

· Have the necessary technological instruments (internet and digital equipment) to carry out their work without technical difficulties during their interventions.

· Review and follow up on the activities and questions that the participants have during the development of the course.

Basic Qualifications

· University degree in Law.

· Have specialized training in the matter in which you are posted, that is, in labor conciliation; techniques, oral litigation skills and abilities for preliminary hearing and for oral trial hearing and trainer of trainers in the same thematic area; freedom of association and collective bargaining, or collective bargaining provisions of the T-MEC with a strong knowledge in Formator of Trainers with the expert management of the learning-doing methodology.

· Desirable to have experience as a teacher.

· Work as a litigator or operator in the labor justice system.

· Experience as a speaker on issues of oral litigation in labor matters.

· Management of platforms and virtual classrooms.

· The consulting person must be organized, detail-oriented, professional, efficient, ethical, responsible, reliable, flexible, have strong communication skills, capable of completing the work to the end.

Preferred Qualifications

· Have a postgraduate degree in Labor Law or specializations in topics related to the courses-workshops to be taught.

· Work experience in a professional environment with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

· Experience working as a remote consultant or consultant, with the use of video conference platforms.
