DRC – Co-facilitator Cluster Nutrition At COOPI – Cooperazione Internazionale


COOPI is looking for a Cluster Nutrition Co-facilitator in DRC

Present in the DRC since 1977, COOPI has greatly increased the number of its interventions in the country, especially following the conflicts of the last 20 years. From Kivu, where the first intervention took place, COOPI activities moved to conflict regions, where the, in order to implement’urgency programmes for the benefit of displaced populations and victims of war. Due to the evolution of the general context in progress in some provinces of the Country, COOPI is also committed to the management of multi-annual projects in order to ENSURE a transition from’urgency to development in different areas, and to guarantee harmonious and sustainable development.

COOPI promotes a relevant response to the needs of local populations through a coordination structure in Kinshasa and several bases in the provinces.

Position objective

Ensure the Co-facilitation of the nutrition cluster at the national level, in close collaboration with expatriate’IMO and the cluster lead (UNICEF).

Responsibilities

Co-facilitation of the Nutrition cluster at the national level :

  • Preparing and facilitating the meetings of the National Nutrition Cluster ;
  • Set up and lead technical working groups on relevant topics ;
  • Participate in the drafting of the’needs analysis, including the contribution of nutrition to the HNO ;
  • Represent the Nutrition cluster at meetings of the rapid response mechanism, the Pronanut, the GTT, the HAG’Inter National Cluster (ICN) and occasionally the HCT and the Support Pole (PDS) ;
  • Actively participate in intersectoral meetings, in the development and implementation of intersectoral tools ;
  • Participate in the strategic and technical review committees of FH proposals (standard and emergency allocations) ;
  • Support for the operation of sub – clusters in the provinces ;
  • Maintain links and coordinate with other clusters and initiatives ;
  • Harmonize and share reporting tools ;
  • Organization / training animation for cluster members ;
  • Actively participate in nutrition survey validation meetings and SNSAP data ;
  • Facilitate the collection and sharing of lessons learned ;
  • Conducting missions in the field to monitor the implementation of nutrition projects in the field ;
  • Conduct meetings of’arbitration in cases of duplicate’activities (overlapping) between partners /cluster members ;
  • Assist and cooperate with partners on common issues such as input management, human resources, etc …

And all other tasks necessary for the good and punctual realization of the project, or action requested by the coordination country in the framework of’intervention.

Candidate profile

EXPERIENCE

  • Higher Education in Health or Nutrition;
  • At least 3 years experience in project management and/or technical consultingd’experience in the management in the international humanitarian system of projects, preferably in health and nutrition projects;
  • Experience working in the humanitarian coordination system, particularly in the system cluster of the United Nations;
  • Experience in connection with institutional donors (including the United Nations) and with governmental and non-governmental partners, including national and international NGOs;
  • Excellent knowledge of project cycle;
  • Excellent writing skills and knowledge of the office Package;
  • Excellent mastering du french, spoken and written;
  • Interest and motivation to work in an NGO respecting its values and principles;

  • Excellent organizational capacity, flexibility, strong sense of’initiative and autonomy in work;
  • Excellents negotiation and communication skills;
  • Excellent ability to work under pressure;
  • Excellent ability to work in teams and by objectives, ability to train employees according to needs;

Assets

  • Knowledge and experience in’writing projects;
  • The mastery of procedures of’UNICEF and the Humanitarian Fund;
  • Knowledge and experience in monitoring and evaluation methodology;
