WHAT WE DO …

SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an association of’ international humanitarian aid which, for more than 40 years, has been providing relief to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by responding to the vital needs of, drinking, eating, s’abriter. Particularly engaged in the fight against diseases related to unhealthy’, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions an expertise in the field of’access to drinking’water,’sanitation and the promotion of hygiene but also in that, essential, of, food security and means of’. Present in about twenty countries, SI – 2000 teams in total composed of’expatriates, national staffs, permanent staff at headquarters, etc,some volunteers..- intervene with professionalism and commitment in respect of cultures.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Within the Operations Department, le.la Director of Operations.the Program Assistant (DOAP) oversees the overall programmatic, technical, innovation and quality strategy of the’ organization, by delegation du.de director of Operations (DO).

The prerogatives of the Deputy Operational Directorate for Programmes are articulated around 5 main axes :

Develop the programmatic strategy of the’organization, on the technical and methodological aspects to ensure the quality and’s ensure the coherence of the intervention logic
Support technically and methodologically the countries of’intervention
Ensure a MEAL framework (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning) for’ all countries
Develop the sectoral and transversal expertise of the’organisation
Developing the’ approach to research and institutional innovation

Responsibilities of the position (Non-exhaustive list) :

Design and supervise the programmatic, technical, innovation and quality strategy

Contribute to the definition of the IS operational strategy
Define with the’ DOAP team and in connection with the 5-year SI strategy the annual DOAP programming

Oversee the quality and accountability framework of IS programs

Develop frameworks and tools to achieve and exceed the minimum standards of quality of programs and ensure the overall management of IS programs

Guarantee technical support to the countries

Supervise and evaluate the technical support provided to countries of intervention by the’Technical Referents team
To lead the development and updating of technical strategies, frameworks and methodologies

Develop global expertise and’innovation within SI

Supervise the development of’an external demonstration strategy of the’expertise of SI (external events highlighting lessons learned, etc.)
Identify and implement technical collaborations and/or partnerships with universities, research centres,’ other humanitarian organizations

Representing SI externally

Represent the’association in technical and methodological forums and coordination, and more broadly on the issues of quality and accountability of the’action humanitarian

Managing the Deputy Program Operational Directorate

Organize, coordinate and animate the work of pole managers and technical referents within the Department by ensuring a balanced alternation between field support missions, including, recovery and contribution to the bottom yards conducted by DOAP

Other functions

Participation in the governance of the’association
Participation as a permanent member of the Management Committee
Regular participation in associative bodies (General Assembly, Board of’Administration, Office) at the request of the Director General.

YOUR PROFILE

At least 3 years of experience on a humanitarian coordination position (Country Director, Field Coordinator, Program Coordinator etc..).
At least 2 years of’experience on a post « field program » within’a humanitarian mission
Experience conducting business advocacy (Global or Cluster countries) would be an asset
Strong appetite and ability for representation (in the field or in headquarters)
Experience within’a headquarters of’an international NGO in a similar service appreciated
In-depth knowledge of the challenges of the humanitarian sector essential
Strong appetite for’innovation, and ability to carry a programmatic humanitarian vision
Experience in managing teams is essential
Proven capacity of design, of’writing and of fund raising with the humanitarian donors
Bilingual French / English

IF YOU WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS

Position based at the headquarters of Solidarity International, in Clichy la Garenne (Mairie de Clichy Metro) with field trips
CDI Contract – Replacement of Maternity Leave – 6.5 months from 03 June 2024 – Framework Statute
Monthly gross remuneration of : 4428 € or 4612 € depending on the grid in force at headquarters
Possibility of teleworking: 4 or 12 days of Teleworking per month or 100% of teleworking with 3 days of mandatory face-to-face per month. In accordance with the Telework Charter in force and the manager.
Leave : 2.0833 CP /month and 1 day RTT / full month of work
Mutual (80 %), restaurant tickets (60%), transport tickets Ile de France (50%) supported by the’association
Insurance taken care of during field trips and 1 day of recovery per weekend spent on mission.
