At the heart of the Doctors Without Borders movement, at the crossroads of knowledge, humanitarian medicine and digital technologies, MSF Foundation develops new medical tools for the most vulnerable patients. To achieve this, it creates the conditions for cooperation between these energies and multidisciplinary knowledge (medical, technological, epidemiological, sociological), values the resources it has access to on MSF land and activates a network of external partners.
It is thus involved in the provision of’ tools for diagnosis, prevention and care of patients whose vocation is to’ improve the way MSF provides health care.
As part of’a job creation, we are looking for a Deputy Director of.
Mission:
The/the Deputy Director· is responsible for the operations of The Foundation, thus contributing to the achievement of the strategic objectives defined by the Director. He/She supervises the support functions and accompanies them in the elaboration of’action plans to ensure coherence and efficiency. He/she assists the Director in all her tasks and assumes them by delegation in her absence.
Under the hierarchical responsibility of the Director of the Foundation :
Main activities :
Operational Strategy and support to the Directorate
- Participate in the development of the overall strategy of The Foundation with the Director, the’ team of The Foundation and the medical department and the department of operations of MSF,
- Contribute to reflections on the prospective and operational issues of The Foundation, by,
Structuring and coaching of teams
- Supervise the members of the headquarters team in charge of support functions and supervise their activities, and,
- Structure, pilot and support the’activity of Project Managers in the’objective of’a scale deployment of projects on MSF missions and other humanitarian contexts,
- Supervise some Project Managers, and,
Development and deployment of projects
- Structure the project cycle and provide support to the Director in charge of’ identification and selection of new projects in collaboration with the MSF association,
- Participate in the steering committees of certain projects and plan the periodic review of the’ entire project portfolio, including,
- Ensure the accompaniment and design of the run phase of the projects to be deployed on the ground in relation to the’ set of partners,
- To ensure the visibility of the Foundation’s projects among all the actors of the MSF movement, in the headquarters and on the grounds of’ intervention, and,
Budgetary management
- Be the guarantor of the preparation of the Foundation’s budget. Oversee budgetary control, anticipate and implement necessary adjustments.
Profile sought:
Training :
- Higher education of preference
Experiences :
- At least 5 years of’ experience in equivalent positions
- Training and experience in the management of’organizations, ideally in the associative sector
Skills :
- Mastery of project management, ideally in the world of medical and/or health technological innovation’
Languages : French and English (minimum B2 level).
Status : CDI on a full-time basis. Executive position, based in Paris.
Conditions :
70,98K€ gross annual over 13 months.
22 Days of RTT per year. Complementary health care 100% supported by Doctors Without Borders. Titles restaurants d’a face value of 11€ (60% support by Doctors Without Borders). Support for 50% of the public transport ticket.
