We are looking for a proactive and organized person to coordinate the planning, securing and effectively managing donor funds to enable Oxfam Chad to implement its country programme and strategy.

WHAT WILL YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

  • Be responsible for sending project/program documentation to donors, while ensuring compliance with donor formats and standards, deadlines, etc, oxfam quality standards, and ensuring the final quality of the product;
  • Monitor the implementation of activities and expenditure of ongoing projects and communicate to programme teams the rates of implementation and possible measures to be taken ;
  • Inform the’ programme team daily of upcoming funding opportunities and share funding and collaboration opportunities ;
  • Support the Programs and Finance teams in the development of budgets and narratives, in the response strategy to best meet the requirements of the calls for proposals ;
  • Actively contribute to the search for new funding in the country;
  • Update donor mapping (including the private sector and philanthropies) to identify donors and create new and innovative funding opportunities in line with Oxfam’s country strategy at Chad ;
  • Develop and implement a detailed plan to strengthen the capacity of’Oxfam staff and funding partner organizations, particularly in proposal writing and donor mapping. This will include the needs assessment, capacity building approach and implementation plan, including tools and methodologies, performance standards and evaluation approach.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

  • Taking of post: 01/01/2024
  • Contract duration: 12 months
  • Annual gross salary: 34.408 EUR
  • Leave: 34 annual days (including public holidays)
  • Insurance, perdiem, housing, R&R, travel at the expense of Oxfam according to the conditions in force
  • Workplace: N’Djamena, Chad with base travel

Criteria indispensable

  • Academic training bac level +4, preferably in the fields Economic sciences, Social Sciences, Development or similar.
  • Proven experience of’at least 3 years in the mobilization of resources and management of financing ;
  • Have experience of’ at least 3 years in the humanitarian and development NGOs ;
  • Have experience of’at least 3 years in program/project management ;
  • Have a high level of knowledge of the African environment and national gender policies ;
  • Knowledge of donor mechanisms, including ECHO, EU, UN agencies, national donors (AIDS, AECID, AMC, GFO, BMZ, AFD, etc.) ;
  • Extensive experience in managing complex partnerships ;
  • Flexibility and capacity for’ adaptation in unstable contexts ;
  • Ability to work under high pressure and time constraints ;
  • Excellent command of French and’anglais, both oral and’written .
  • Very good knowledge and practice of computer programs Excel, Word ;
  • Excellent written’ expression abilities ;
  • Good team working ability.
