Consultant for Fund Generation and Resource Mobilization At Philippine Red Cross


The Philippine Red Cross is one of the key actors in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in the Philippines. It has been implementing numerous short-, medium-, and long-term projects spread across the country. The German Red Cross has been partnering with the PRC through the provision of technical, financial, and logistical support and will continue to do so in the foreseeable future. The GRC, with funding from the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development [BMZ], is supporting the project “Empowering the Philippine Institutions and Communities in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management” (EPIC DRRM Project Phase 3). The project focuses on strengthening the national DRRM system and structures with PRC’s contribution through advocacy and meaningful partnership towards effective DRRM implementation in vulnerable communities in the Philippines.

The purpose of this training is to capacitate the 18 project areas of the EPIC BRRM Project as well as the Fund Generation staff of the PRC National Headquarters in terms of fundraising and resource mobilization for the continuity and sustainability of the key activities supported by the project in the communities.

Expected deliverables:
1. Once the training is completed, the participants are expected to formulate funding and
resource mobilization plans for their respective Chapters
2. Activity report
3. Attendance sheet
4. Photo documentation

Qualifications:

  • Academic background that is relevant to financial fund generation and resource mobilization
  • At least 5 years proven experience in the fund generation, social business development, and
    resource mobilization humanitarian sector, with demonstrated experience in social
    development management and leadership, and financial management.
  • Proven experience of carrying out similar engagements
  • Excellent written and verbal English and Local Language Skills
  • Preferably knowledgeable/with experience of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement
