DESCRIPTIVE OF HOLD FUNCTIONS OF THE CONSULTORY CONTRACT: To Define

  1. Nature of consulting:

Support for the Implementation of the Communication Strategy for Development in Sonsonate, Type A Consulting

  1. IOM project or IOM department to which the consultant provides services: Regional Program on Migration, Project Code MS.0043
  2. Category consultants “ A ”: Tasks to be performed under this contract
    • Identify communities, schools, local spaces to expand the content of the Think 2 Times campaign to provide accurate messages about border access and emphasize the risks of irregular migration.
    • Support administrative processes such as supplier searches and quotes for your activities
    • Facilitate awareness days on irregular migration with a gender and human rights approach.
    • Prepare a monthly report in format provided by IOM that contains a record of activities, number of people reached, disaggregated by sex, photographic record of the actions implemented.
    • If necessary, make work trips within the country or outside it for the development or monitoring of activities.
    • And all the others that in the framework of their functions are requested according to their experience and capacity.
  3. Performance indicators for evaluating results
    • Creation of institutional service directories
    • Create a local directory of key partners
    • Prepare a work plan, concept notes and methodologies to be implemented for community actions.
    • Implementation of actions to prevent irregular migration
    • Generate alliances with local partners for action implementation
  4. Experience or required skills
  • Professional in communications or social sciences, or related careers such as political science, international relational science, legal science, communications.
  • 1 year of professional experience in facilitating knowledge processes aimed at diverse groups.
  • 1 year of experience in facilitating workshops on migration, gender violence, human rights, human trafficking.
  • Proven studies on migration, human trafficking, gender will be an advantage.
  • Good management of data processing programs: Excel, Word, Power Point, as well as other programs in the Office package or other systems.
  • It will be considered an advantage if you have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.

Languages

  • Excellent command of the Spanish language, both oral and written.
  • Basic knowledge of the English language will be considered an advantage.Necessary trips:If necessary, work trips must be made within the country.

Other requirements

  • The consulting person will acquire his own insurance policy to support medical expenses and / or personal accidents that cover these eventualities for the duration of the consultancy. OIM does not assume responsibility for any accident that it may suffer, since the consulting contract does not imply an employer relationship of any kind.
  • The consulting person must present a vaccination certificate against COVID-19, with the 3 corresponding doses.
  • The consulting person must have invoices for the products delivered to process the corresponding payments.

Receipt of offers

The offer must contain:

  • A note with an expression of interest, explaining in detail information on: professional experience, academic training, knowledge and acquired skills relevant to the development of consulting (no more than two pages)
  • Sheet of Life (not more than two pages) of the applicant
