Position Description

EnCompass LLC is seeking a Communications and Learning Coordinator to provide proactive, customer-focused administrative, operations, and programmatic support for the EnCompass Learning Center (ELC) as well as other projects in the Strategic Initiatives practice area. We are looking for someone who loves to work with customers and who prides themselves on being highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of coordinating multiple activities at the same time. Must have an interest in communications and adult learning programs.

This is a full-time position located at the EnCompass principal office in Silver Spring, Maryland, and follows the EnCompass flexible hybrid work model with split time between telework and the office. This individual may also be expected to work from client sites in the Washington, DC metro area, as needed.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Essential functions:

Project-Level Responsibilities:

  • Provides exceptional service to ELC faculty and participants, responding to support needs rapidly and with a commitment to customer care
  • Schedules, coordinates, and supports delivery of internal and external virtual meetings and trainings in Zoom, and other platforms
  • Maintains and manages participant lists, event communications, welcome letters, and other program related documents, records and correspondence
  • Maintains mailing lists and produces promotional materials for external audiences
  • Supports writing, proofreading, and/or coordinating translation, editing, and formatting services for client project deliverables
  • Supports processing of consultant invoices, preparing billing, keeping track of project expenses, drafting consultant agreements and the purchase and payment of products and services
  • Supports travel and logistics needs for practice area staff
  • Populates and maintains team and project knowledge management platforms, including Microsoft Sharepoint sites
  • Engage fully as a member of the EnCompass team, including participating in staff meetings and other EnCompass activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Qualifications

Academic Qualifications

  • Minimum of a High School diploma and seven years of additional experience; Associate’s degree and five years of additional experience; Bachelor’s degree and three years of additional experience; Master’s degree and one year of additional experience

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work within defined standard operating procedures and adhere to quality guidelines
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong time management skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interact with individuals at all levels
  • Strong verbal and written English language skills; highly skilled at writing and editing documents
  • Proficiency in using online learning platforms, (Ex. Zoom and/or Google Meets)
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed

Preferred:

  • Customer-service related experience highly desirable
  • Experience with communications and graphic design, using tools like Canva to develop social media cards and web-based graphics is a plus
  • Fluency in language(s) other than English highly desirable, particularly French and/or Spanish

Estimated Starting Pay Range:

The pay range for this role allows for the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. At EnCompass, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $61,500 – $72,000.
