WHAT WE DO …

INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY(SI) is an association of’international humanitarian aid which, for more than 40 years, has been providing relief to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by responding to vital needs, drinking, eating, eating, eating, S’abriter. Particularly engaged in the fight against diseases related to unhealthy’, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions an expertise in the field of’access to drinking’water,’sanitation and the promotion of hygiene but also in that, essential, food security and means of’. Present in about twenty countries, SI – 2000 teams in total composed of’expatriates, national staffs, permanent staff at headquarters, some volunteers…intervene with professionalism and commitment in respect of cultures.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Main tasks of the internship :

  • L’assistant(e) will be attached(e) to the program referent, and to the accountability and development manager of the Emergency Desk.
  • He will also be in charge of providing support to the various missions as a whole.

Main objectives of the internship :

  • Assist the Referent Programmes, la/the Accountability and Development Officer(e) and the Geographical Manager in the execution of the administrative tasks necessary for the management of missions and programs and in the operational monitoring of the programs implemented work in the field ;
  • Have knowledge of the different programmes and areas of expertise of’arities International ;
  • Have knowledge of the humanitarian and geopolitical context of the areas concerned ;
  • Master the tools related to the management of the project cycle and the financing cycle ;
  • Master the internal procedures of Solidarity International and the rules of the main donors of’ humanitarian aid ;
  • Ensure the link and the circulation of’information between the different interlocutors (desk, headquarters, field).

Main tasks :

  • Monitoring of field missions and requests;
  • Maintain continuity of monitoring procedures : retro-planning of reports related to ongoing projects, retro-planning of project proposals, APU (Activity Follow Up) of ongoing projects, etc, HR organization charts, monitoring of contractual data, mission coordinates, donor coordinates ;
  • Participate in the drafting of project proposals and donor reports ;
  • Ensure a humanitarian, geopolitical watch and the follow-up of the’ news on the countries of the desk ;
  • Set up capitalization tools : Program sheets, operational maps etc. ;
  • Manage the’paper and electronic archiving of mission documents ;
  • Participate in the various expatriate briefings and debriefings ;
  • Provide contextual briefing for expatriates ;
  • Liaise with other services at headquarters (Directorate, HR, Log, Communication, TDI) ;
  • Contribute to certain programmatic or technical projects ;
  • In collaboration with the other assistants, organize and reorganize the network ;
  • Maintain contact with missions in the absence of managers ;
  • Ensure translation of various documents (english → french /french → english)

Contributions of the internship :

  • Discover the functioning of the’une NGO headquarters as well as the relations between the headquarters and the field ;
  • Discover the different professions of International Solidarity in the field ;
  • Have a first approach to the functioning of’a mission and its specific constraints ;
  • Understanding the humanitarian issues of the countries of the Desk ;
  • Deepen the notions of’analysis of priorities and’identification of needs ;
  • Understand the relationships between the different humanitarian actors ;
  • Know the requirements of donors ;
  • Putting project cycle management tools into practice ;
  • Communicate directly with the field ;
  • Discover the strategy of’une NGO and its development ;
  • Master International Solidarity procedures and the main Donors of funds

YOUR PROFILE

  • Higher education (bac level +4/5) preferably focused on project management and/or humanitarian’, political science or international relations, with preferably knowledge on the problems of the’eau, the food security or the rehabilitation.
  • Real interest and motivation for the’associatif and the’humanitaire – Will to go on the field
  • Work experience at the international’ appreciated
  • Editorial skills
  • Critical spirit and’analysis, autonomy, rigor, responsiveness, organization, efficiency, important work capacity
  • IT : Windows (Word, Excel, power point); Internet and email (Outlook)
  • Current english

IF YOU WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS

  • Internship based in the headquarters of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL in Clichy (92), metro Mairie de Clichy
  • Intern with compulsory internship agreement.
  • Gratification : 4,90 euros/hour
  • The gratuity is calculated in proportion to the actual hours of attendance over the month. (Average 1 month = 154h, or 22 days of 7h/day)
  • Public transport supported at 50% by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL
  • Tickets restaurant at 8,90 € /daily internship, with participation of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL at 60%
