Doctors with Africa CUAMM is the first Italian healthcare-focused NGO officially recognized by Italian authorities.
Founded in 1950 with the aim of training doctors to work in developing countries, Doctors with Africa CUAMM is working in Angola, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and the Central African Republic implementing healthcare projects in partnership with local governments and institutions.

REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Accounting, University Degree in Economics or equivalent title
- Good knowledge of the Portuguese language; good knowledge of Italian and/or English will be considered an asset
- Mastering the use of accounting applications
- Proven experience in admin/finance management of international cooperation projects in fragile countries and/or low resources settings
KEY DUTIES
Working closely with project managers, the Admin/Finance Officer will oversee the administrative management of ongoing projects, ensuring compliance with administrative and procurement procedures, preparing financial reporting and supervising the management and the keeping of accounting by local accountants.
Specifically, s/he will have to:
- supervise accounting
- monitor expenditures and support project managers in preparing periodic reports on financial aspects
- ensure compliance with purchasing procedures
- ensure proper documentation of expenditures and financial transactions for reporting purposes
- manage dedicated cash and bank accounts
- supervise local accounting and logistics staff
- support project managers in preparing quarterly fund request
- ensure that projects activities are properly documented
- support project managers in managing local staff and taking care of their contracts
