Description of the mission
Attached to the head of finance department, the/the head of accounting control at the CSD supports the accounting department and acts as a point of contact with the Shared Services Centre (SSC) based in Manila (Philippines). He/she is in charge of the daily verification of the’accuracy and completeness of the accounting entries recorded in the’ERP (PeopleSoft).
He/She is also the’interface between Headquarters, country offices and the SSC for any accounting and financial issues related to the’ use of the’ERP.
Its priority is to streamline and improve processes and reporting.
1.Daily accounting monitoring : be the guarantor of the’accuracy and completeness of the entries recorded in the’ERP
- Follow daily the passage of the requested entries to the Shared Services Center
- S’assure that’elles are registered and complete
- Verify the consistency of the income statement and balance sheet in euros and currencies and, if necessary, immediately propose corrective actions
- Work instead with the accounting departments of the headquarters and country offices in order to’anticipate their problems in the passages of’writing and accompany them in the resolution of their problems by intervening with the Centre shared Services
- Produce ad hoc analyses
2. Monthly closures
- Support to teams in the monthly closing work « soft close », at the level of bank reconciliations, of the accounting of expenses for both Headquarters France and country offices
- Guarantee the’accuracy and completeness of the work
- Intervene with the Shared Services Center to accelerate the processes
- Challenging the amounts in the accounts, including the balance sheet level
3. Annual fences
- Support to teams in the annual closing work at the’ level all the required tasks
- S’assure of the accuracy and completeness of the passage of the annual closing entries (provisions, results..) and if necessary the extours (automatic or manual) on the next’exercise.
- Challenging the analysis of accounts
- Challenging the amounts in the accounts, including the balance sheet level
4. Organization & process
- Participate in the implementation of efficient processes at the headquarters and country offices level
- Document the tasks performed and/or to be performed
- Improve and optimize exchanges with the Shared Services Center
- Sharing the best practices
- Accompanying new users on the’ERP
Relationships
- Hierarchical relationship to the Finance Service Manager
- Close collaboration with the’ set of financial services of the head office including management control and country offices
- PeopleSoft Shared Services Centre (SSC) in Manila (Philippines)
- The/The PeopleSoft technical reference (head office and /or CARE USA)
Profile sought
Training and experiences :
- Degree level bac + 3 (DCG) in management or accounting
- 1st significant experience in a similar context and /or 3 to 5 years in a company
- Experience in an accounting firm would be a plus
Technical skills :
- Mastery of general and analytical accounting
- Knowledge in financial analysis
- Interest and skills in ERP management are required: functional and technical mastery of’at least one indispensable ERP; knowledge of PeopleSoft highly appreciated.
- Mastery of’Excel (advanced formulas, TCD). Macro control is a plus.
- English essential
- Good willingness to work within’a matrix organization

Conditions and terms of application
Contract : 9 Months CDD, renewable
Status : Employee
Working time : 39h/week (23 days of RTT per year)
Desired start date : as soon as possible (thanks to’indicate your availability)
Salary : between 35,5k € and 39,7k€ gross annual, depending on profile
Advantages : mutual support 100% by CARE France ; tickets-restaurant d’a face value of 9€, including 5€ supported by CARE France ; reimbursement up to 75% subscriptions to the public transport network or sustainable mobility package ; telework charter (from the 3rd week of the contract, package of 40 or 80 days of telework per year ; 120 Days from’un an d’s seniority)
