About: Action Against Hunger
Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger in the world. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been the basis of its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, in particular during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Safety and Ways of Existence – Water, Health, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. Mission :
Under the responsibility of the youth project manager, your missions will be:
Facilitate awareness-raising sessions in schools in the Centre Val de Loire region of France.
Represent Action Against Hunger in schools.
Contribute to planning activities.
Participate, under the direction of the/the Youth Project Manager, in the planning of visits to schools (trails, train reservations and hotels).
Alert your manager on the adaptation needs of interventions.
Carry out a quick end-of-mission assessment with the youth project manager.
Profile :
Bac type training + 2/3. You have a good experience in ( BAFA animation appreciated ).
You have a very good relationship and know how to be pedagogical.
With very good contact with children / teens you are comfortable speaking in public and know how to adapt to a young audience. You are interested in humanitarian actions.
You have great autonomy and organizational capacity and great rigor in the management of schedules and time.
It will be a Basé post in Tours and / or Orléans ideally. Many trips will be expected in the regions indicated.
Mandatory driving license / Vehicle ideally
