About: Action Against Hunger
Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger in the world. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been the basis of its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, in particular during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Safety and Ways of Existence – Water, Health, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. Mission :
Under the responsibility of the youth project manager, your missions will be as follows:
Conduct awareness-raising sessions in schools in the Center Val de Loire region, La Bourgogne and Normandie.
Represent Action Against Hunger in schools.
Contribute to the planning of activities.
Participate, under the direction of the Youth Project Officer, in the planning of visits to educational establishments ( routes, train reservations and hotels ).
Alert his manager on the adaptation needs of the interventions.
Carry out a rapid end-of-mission assessment with the Youth Project Manager.
Profile :
Training type bac +2/3. You have a good experience in animation (BAFA appreciated).
You have a very good relationship and know how to demonstrate pedagogy.
From a very good contact with children/teens you are comfortable to speak in public and know how to adapt to a young audience. You are interested in humanitarian actions.
You have a great autonomy and organizational capacity and great rigor in the management of schedules and time.
Based in Paris ideally with many trips to plan in the indicated regions.
Mandatory driving license/Vehicle ideally
