About: Action Against Hunger
Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger in the world. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been the basis of its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, in particular during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Safety and Ways of Existence – Water, Health, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. Mission :
Mission 1: Contribute to the monitoring of the good accounting and budgetary management of the Central African Pool countries
Ensure the production and follow-up of bank signature delegation
Check the supporting documents of the monthly accounting close and be in direct exchange with the missions until validation of these documents.
Perform random checks to ensure compliance with the cash management policy
Support at the time of monthly/annual and budgetary accounting closures to the Regional Finance Officer
Support for the production of documents relating to audits carried out at headquarters or in the field
Take part in different trainings (Planfi, Shared costs, etc.)
Mission 2: Contribute to specific support from Central Africa Pool countries
Depending on the needs of the missions, provide operational support (exchanges on Paris expenses, exchanges on SAGA settings)
Profile :
You are preparing a higher education of the Bac+4/5 type in School of Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Political Science, Humanitarian or International Relations. You are recognized for your good relationship and your rigor. You like teamwork and you have a good command of the pack office (mainly Excel) as well as a very strong motivation for the humanitarian sector.
The practice of fluent English (oral and written) is a plus.
