About: Action against Hunger
Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against world hunger. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has founded its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies linked to conflict and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Security and Livelihoods – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. Mission :
You will be in charge of implementing the SMSP activities planned in the projects in the Drodro area (a project currently under development).
More specifically, you will be responsible for:
Supervising SMSP activities of Mweso sub-base projects;
Supervise the project team and coordinate activities;
Participate in research into care practices and mental health;
Develop work in multidisciplinary teams;
Ensure the protection of project beneficiaries;
Ensure internal reporting and planned deadlines, as well as the functionality of accountability mechanisms, the fight against fraud and against SEA cases.
Profile :
You hold a Bac + 5 Diploma in Clinical Psychology
You are a humanitarian professional and have international experience with ACF in a similar position as SMSP Project Manager (at least 1 year of experience , ideally in conflict zones or fragile contexts);
You have recognized experience in team management and have demonstrated training skills.
You are keen to increase the skills and empower your teams; You are recognized for your sense of diplomacy and your interpersonal skills , adaptation and rapid understanding;
You know humanitarian psychiatry;
You have good reporting and project budget management skills;
You are proficient in IT tools and the Office pack (Word, Excel);
You are fluent in French (read, written, spoken).
