Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against hunger in the world. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has founded its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies linked to conflict and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Security and Livelihoods – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. Mission :
Under the supervision of the Zone Coordinator, you will supervise the development and implementation of programs according to the ACF mandate and procedures, ensure a leadership position and coordinate the activities of the program and support teams.
More precisely, your missions will be to:
Develop the ACF strategy for its area of intervention, in line with the orientations of the mission, and coordinate the implementation of this strategy
Participate in external relations and reflections on the development of proposals for projects, and coordinate the implementation of programs in the area of intervention
Manage the teams in the area of intervention
Ensure internal and external reporting according to the formats and deadlines planned, as well as the functionality of accountability mechanisms, fight against fraud and against SEA cases
Ensure security management in the area
Supervise and guarantee the smooth running of support function activities

Profile :
You hold a generalist/technical diploma at Bac +4/5 level, such as business school, political science, or a higher diploma related to the activities of Action Against Hunger.
You have proven professional experience in basic coordination and/or project development, including positions of significant responsibility. You master the project cycle.
You have already worked in security management, in volatile environments.
You have already successfully managed teams, both face-to-face and remotely.
You are able to situate ACF’s operations vis-à-vis other humanitarian actors in the area of intervention and to promote them, as well as to apply humanitarian principles and values on the ground, to integrate recommendations and to develop practices.
You have very good skills in analyzing context, a situation and its issues, as well as analytical and critical reading of information.
You are a good communicator and know how to adapt to your interlocutors. You are organized with an excellent sense of priorities.
You are comfortable with IT tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and have very good writing skills.
You are fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
Conditions of employment
Fixed-term contract under French law: 12 months
Gross monthly salary: from 2597 to 2968 euros depending on experience
Retirement insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of the gross monthly salary
Increase in salary basic: 6% every 12 months of continuous contract
Per diem and monthly living expenses: $974 net, paid in the field
Monthly context allowance: 450 euros
Child allowance: 1500 euros per year and per child present in the country of origin ( ceiling of 6,000 euros/year)
Transport and accommodation: Coverage for travel and collective accommodation
Medical Coverage: 100% of coverage for health contributions (CFE + supplementary health insurance) and repatriation insurance
Salary maintenance schemes (sickness, maternity, paternity)
Leave and RnR: 25 days per year of CP and 20 RnR per year; payment of the ticket with ceiling to go to the chosen break zone, and 215 euros of fixed compensation per RnR
