Project Brief
The project supports the communications efforts of a global initiative focused on accelerating industrial decarbonization in emerging and developing economies. Following a high-level launch, the platform requires expanded communication tools and multilingual content to increase engagement with global stakeholders across government, private sector, and civil society.
Scope of Work
The following are key task of the translator as part of supporting the team:
- Translate communication materials (newsletters, social media posts, case studies, publications) from English to Spanish and French
- Ensure high-level accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and tone consistency in translated materials
- Support the translation of digital content such as websites, infographics, and video subtitles
- Assist in multilingual content development aligned with global industrial decarbonization messaging
- Collaborate with the communications team to deliver timely translated materials
Qualifications/ Requirements
Education/Training: Relevant Education
Language (of communication): English
Professional experience:
- Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and French, with strong command of English
- Proven experience in professional translation, preferably in the development or climate action sector
- Familiarity with communication and advocacy campaigns
- Experience translating for international organizations or global platforms is a strong asset
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently while coordinating with remote teams
