The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an unlimited contract duration. Employment location can be flexible within Germany, but we will meet from time to time at our headquarters in Bonn Bad Godesberg.

To proactively shape this change, we need you to join us as Team Lead Digital Projects & Portfolio Management. The aim is to make Welthungerhilfe even more efficient and future-oriented. To achieve this, we are looking for someone with responsibility, courage and new ideas to manage international digital projects.
Your responsibilities
- Together with your team, you will be responsible for managing Welthungerhilfe’s portfolio of digital projects and optimising our internal processes.
- You will be responsible for managing complex national and/or international software projects in the areas of HR, finance, logistics and marketing.
- Agile project management: You will initialise, budget, plan and implement digitalisation projects in coordination with the relevant stakeholders and the Executive Management.
- You will advise the Executive Management and play a key role in shaping the approach to digitalisation.
- You will support international project teams in the selection and implementation of digital solutions and tools, shaping the organization’s image at various touch points, both internally and externally.
- Together with your team, you will develop and define standards and best practices for the implementation of digital projects and campaigns.
- Communication and transparency are key to digital transformation: In close coordination with other units and your team, you will create and use appropriate communication formats, training platforms and media.
Your profile
- You have a Master’s or Diploma degree and strong experience in managing IT and process optimization projects, ideally with experience in multi-project management.
- You have experience in managing teams and understand the value of good leadership.
- You have a proven track record of managing digital projects and are familiar with managing project portfolios.
- Ideally you will have relevant certifications in Scrum and Project Management, e.g. PMP/PMI/IPMA.
- You show passion for digital transformation and have a strong knowledge of agile project methodologies.
- You are a team player and have a sense of humour. You are not upset by resistance to change.
- Colleagues value your strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You have an excellent sense of digital trends and their impact on organizational culture, leadership and collaboration.
- We sometimes work abroad in very challenging and under specific conditions: You are characterised by a strong intercultural empathy.
- Fluent English is a must – our team is international. Knowledge of German and/or French would be an advantage.
