Strategic Alliances Specialist At Action against Hunger Spain


CUA is a consortium made up of three organizations, the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and Action Against Hunger (ACH), the latter as the leading Organization, that implements the ADN Dignidad program in favor of the population affected by the migratory situation in Colombia.

The post of Strategic Alliances Specialist aims to lead the creation and strengthening of strategic alliances with the private sector (companies, business foundations and unions), government entities and local organizations, in order to improve the employment and employability opportunities of the target population of the ADN Dignidad program (Venezuelan migrants, returned Colombians, returned Colombians and the host community).

This will be achieved through identification and collaboration with key actors, the effective management of agreements and agreements, and the implementation of innovative strategies that facilitate labor integration and sustainable economic development in the project intervention areas. The professional in this role will be responsible for coordinating activities that promote effective job placements, organizing events and job fairs, and ensure the alignment of the project’s objectives with the needs of the labor market and the migrant community.

The main activities you will carry out are the following:

Objective 1: Strengthen the external relations of the project with local or national actors related to the sectors of interest of the project.

  • Carry out the mapping to identify potential strategic allies at the national level to support the project’s intervention areas (Atlántico, Bogotá, Cundinamarca, Magdalena and Nariño), conducting context and relevance analyzes for issues related to protection routes, nutrition and livelihoods
  • Update the database of the main external actors and allies, including companies and private sector organizations, related to the scope of the project.
  • Develop and maintain management relationships with local and private sector external actors, such as chambers of commerce, unions, business associations, local authorities and organizations, partners, or others related to the activities of the ADN Dignidad program under the supervision and collaboration of the coordination of economic recovery and livelihoods of the CUA Consortium and coordination with the focal points of each partner of the consortium.
  • Manage and articulate agreements, agreements or documents that support strategic alliances with private sector companies and entities, to strengthen the routes of the active economic recovery component – CREA, under the supervision and collaboration of the coordination of economic recovery and livelihoods of the CUA Consortium.
  • Participate in the negotiation of joint actions and activities with external actors at the local and sectoral level under the supervision of the coordination of economic recovery and livelihoods of the CUA Consortium.
  • Contribute to the development of support and strengthening processes for companies and allies of the employment ecosystem for the ADN Dignidad program.
  • Support the strengthening actions of companies in the terms required by the ADN Dignidad program, to mobilize actions aimed at the employability of the Venezuelan migrant population, returned Colombians and host community.
  • Regularly report the progress of coordination and generation of alliances, difficulties and lessons learned to your supervisor and / or management of the consortium.
  • Support the identification of possible financing or co-financing opportunities for the project or projects for the consortium in the implementation areas.
  • Coordinate with other areas of the UGC of the consortium and with the referents of the partners that are related to their responsibility.
  • Participate in the other tasks and activities required by the project.

Goal 2: Support the strategy of socio-economic integration, early recovery and livelihoods.

  • Contribute with technical inputs to develop guidelines on labor orientation routes, support for entrepreneurship and financial inclusion.
  • Participate in coordination spaces, meetings and technical forums at the local and sectoral level of interest for Action Against Hunger, authorized and / or delegated by the management and /or the management of operations, quality and compliance of the CUA Consortium.
  • Support the design and dissemination of strategies, guidelines, tools, standards and SOPs that can help field teams implement the CREA component strategy and provide the necessary technical support in partnerships when necessary.
  • Identify good practices in the different bases and partners to replicate in other territories, as well as document the processes and strategies designed for the development of the strategic alliances of the project.
  • Lead market analyzes and agreements, training courses, activities for product promotion, linkage with state programs, to facilitate access to markets.
  • Participate in the design, execution and monitoring of employment and entrepreneurship fairs within the framework of the project, focusing on sectors with the greatest potential for employability, in coordination with the focal points designated by the consortium partners and their supervisor.
  • Develop internal and external networks to strengthen the activities carried out within the framework of the project and identify synergies with other initiatives.

Goal 3: Security Management

  • Respect the security rules specified in the mission and base security plan, ensure compliance with the plan by the team in charge and carry out the security management tasks that may be assigned in its protocols.
  • Communicate to workplace security managers any information related to safety or non-compliance with the security plan.
  • Actively participate in activities and fulfill responsibilities as an employee with the SG-SST.

Does this description fit with you?

Education:

University studies in business / social areas (economy, business administration, international business, international relations, law, social communication, industrial engineering, psychology, social work, engineering or equivalent).

Experience:

  • Minimum experience of 5 years in fundraising and management of public / private alliances of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
  • Knowledge of human management processes and hiring in employment and employability programs, preferably knowledge of migrant population recruitment processes.
  • Project management in the private, public or international cooperation fields, involving the implementation of employability and programs for the Venezuelan migrant population, the host community and vulnerable communities.
  • Community and institutional work experience in vulnerable areas / communities affected by natural and / or man-made disasters (conflict, migration crisis, etc.).
  • Experience in strategic relationship with actors in the local ecosystem of employability, entrepreneurship and financial inclusion.
  • Work experience in the project execution area will be valued.

Specific Knowledge:

  • Fundraising and extensive knowledge of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
  • Management of alliances and articulation of actors for the development of projects.
  • Project management in the humanitarian sector.
  • Incorporation of transversal approaches (Action without Damage, Peacebuilding, gender, ethnicity, etc.).

Computer skills:

  • Windows and Office domain.
  • Knowledge of ICT tools.

Additional Knowledge:

  • General knowledge of the humanitarian sector, the organization and its intervention sectors.
  • Experience in Latin America.

Languages:

  • English: Desirable intermediate level.
