Task Description: The Global Program on the Disaster-FCV Nexus at GFDRR ( https://www.gfdrr.org/en/drm-fcv) is looking for two Short Term Consultants (STCs) who will work collaboratively to support our analytical work on “Disaster costs and impacts in conflict settings”:
- One geospatial analyst (25 days, see Terms of Reference _geospatial.pdf)
- One econometrician (25 days, see Terms of Reference _econometrician.pdf)
The STCs will work on “Assessing disasters impacts in conflict-affected areas using satellite imageries”. By gathering and analyzing economic data in conjunction with geospatial data of disasters and disaster impacts, the STCs will investigate whether and to what extent disaster impacts experienced by conflict-affected locations differ from those in non-conflict-affected locations. Details of the assignment are provided in the ToRs.
