1. Background Information

Search for Common Ground

Search for Common Ground (Search) is a non-governmental organization working to transform the way the world deals with conflict. We have acquired 40 years of experience in peace building and are based in over 30 countries around the world. In each project, we seek to engage all stakeholders to work together to address shared challenges and develop joint solutions. We have led programs around the world to help societies channel their differences away from adversarial approaches and towards collaborative solutions with activities that range from conflict mediation and peace education to stabilization and women’s empowerment.

The Project

Jusoor project Phase III aims at Strengthening youth-centered participatory approaches to local governance and political participation in Jordan, which shall be achieved through the following three Specific Objectives:

  1. Mobilize the skills and competencies of local and (sub-)national authorities and youth to effectively, constructively, and inclusively engage target communities in local governance;
  2. Enable a shared vision among local and (sub-)national authorities and youth to sustain participatory approaches and strategic communication to address local communities’ governance demands
  3. Strengthen constructive and inclusive political dialogue representative of young men and women.

2. Scope of Work

Search is looking for a qualified consultant or media agency to support Serach’s presence on social media, and provide videography and photography services for Jussor Project activities which will be in 10 target governorates (Irbid, Jerash, Ajloun, Amman, Balqa, Zarqa, Madaba, Tafielh, Ma’an, and Aqaba) based on the arrangement with Search during the project activities implementation from Feb 2024 to Oct 2024.

The selected consultant or media agency is expected to work in close collaboration with the project management team, actively participating in discussions to ensure alignment with the project’s overarching objectives, primarily centered around the pillars of local governance and political participation.

Specifically, Search seeks who can complete the following services:

Jussor’s Communication Plan

  • Review the project’s communication plan to provide insightful guidance in the formulation of media messages and strategies tailored to align with the organizational goals.
  • Develop a social media plan that assists in achieving the communication plan objectives which should include the key messages, identifies target audiences, and identifies optimal delivery channels in a way that align with the project activities implementation.
  • Overseeing the management of social media channels and other external communication, diligent monitoring of media activities in accordance with Search Jordan, and ensuring colleagues are apprised of relevant stories aligned with the project objectives. This involves crafting press releases and social media content, as well as identifying emerging media channels.
  • Responsibility of the oversight and enhancement of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn).

Creative Production

  • Videography and photography of Jusoor project activities in the target governorates.
  • Develop Social media content that align with Search’s social media channels (Facebook, and Instagram) including: Short-Long form videos, Reels, Text-based posts, Image-based posts, Testimonials, Infographics, Live videos, and relevant hashtags.
  • Consult with Search and the local partner before and during the content development to ensure following the organization rules and regulations, and meeting the project’s objectives and vision.

Social Media Platforms Management

  • Co-admin Search’s social media platforms in a way that align Search’s identity and represent Jusoor project’s activity for all the target governorates, to ensure consistency and reach for different target audiences.
  • Develop a social media monthly calendar that includes all the planned social media content types with the Search team.
  • Increase the reach of Search’s social media platforms, in a way that promotes its presence in the local communities.
  • Quarterly viewership and reporting (including social media views, shares, impressions and likes, etc)

Qualifications:

  • The consultant or media agency shall be specialized in developing and managing creative social media content.
  • The consultant or media agency will have experience in managing social media platforms.
  • Dedicated staff of communications experts in their respective fields must be made available including operations and creative direction.
  • Strong track record of social media analytic and reporting.

How to apply

Interested qualified agencies are expected to submit a Technical Proposal and a Financial Proposal:

A Technical proposal, including:

  • A statement of qualifications of the consultant or agency as they relate to the objectives of the project and the qualifications highlighted. Agencies are specifically recommended to highlight their qualifications, capability, and experience related to:
    • Communication Plans Development.
    • Creative production including videography and photography.
    • Social Media Content Development (including all the possible types of content across different social media platforms).
    • Social Media platforms management and achievements on this basis.
  • Resumes, no longer than 2-pages in length, of the personnel that would be assigned to this assignment, with their roles and responsibilities/ToR and Level of Efforts during the mentioned activities and for the requested outcomes.
  • A statement sustaining the resources of the proposing entity/ consultant and the ability to carry out the Scope of Work requested.
  • Proposed fee structure, including retainer fees, reimbursable expenses, etc.
  • Contact information for at least two (2) clients.
  • Contact information for two (2) business references.
  • Build a proposed timetable based on the requested scope of work, and the requested deliverables.

A financial proposal, including:

  • Financial Offer for different media products as this offer should include the estimated cost for each potential product like (not limited to):
  • Technical Support cost (The management of social media platforms and marketing).
  • Long-form videos (for both TV and online & Social Media) that will be freshly shot for this project (2-3 minutes each video) taking in consideration that the videos need to be taken in different governorate locations.
  • Social Media Content Types costs (Short-Long form videos, Text-based posts, Image-based posts, Testimonials, Infographics, Live videos).
  • Any other possible products based on the production house experience with its cost.
