DESCRIPTION OF L’ASSOCIATION

The’Espoir Chain is an international NGO founded in 1994. Its purpose is to strengthen health systems to give everyone, and in particular children, the same opportunities for survival and development.

We operate in 28 countries through a global approach, focusing on the’child but also on mothers and disadvantaged communities :

  • Prevention and screening from an early age, especially in the context of health programs at’school.
  • Care and surgery to meet the most urgent needs of children and their mothers.
  • Training and transfer of skills to local teams through our international network of’experts in all areas of surgery.
  • Construction and equipment of hospital structures adapted to local needs.

POST AND MISSION

As part of the Ukraine project, within the Purchasing and Logistics Department, the mission of the’ medical buyer is to support the Responsible for medical purchases of the’association on the families of products for which it is responsible (medical consumables, sterile medical devices, implantables, etc, surgical instruments, medicines), especially on commercial and logistical aspects.

The’ medical buyer Ukraine is in permanent contact with the’other medical buyer of its team, the headquarters and field logistics teams, the program teams and the medical management.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

Purchase and management of’supply

Under the direction of the Head of Medical Purchasing :

  • Define the needs for medical devices, (instruments, consumables etc.) and necessary medicines
  • Carry out sourcing, negotiations and choice of suppliers and then place orders to ensure in time, in time and at the best cost the’supply of programs for the’Ukraine and follow the good execution until’invoicing and’archiving included
  • Ensure compliance and’eligibility of purchases with the procedures of The Chain of the’Espoir and donors: levels of competition, respect of budgets, documentary compliance, archiving
  • Monitor and produce’activity analyses and indicators (CA global, by supplier, by shipment, by product family, etc.)
  • Contribute to the financial follow-up of the project with the financial services (management control and accounting)

Inventory management and supply chain optimization

  • Optimize the (re)constitution of stocks necessary for’supply and’scaling shipments
  • Support the export logistics manager for the’organization of shipments and the transport part

TRAINING & SKILLS

Training/Experience

  • Ecole de commerce or BAC +5 en commerce international
  • Experience in medical purchases for surgery (hospital or commercial)
  • Experience in’ other NGOs would be a plus

Skills & aptitudes

  • Excellent knowledge of purchases and’export
  • Knowledge of the’universe of surgery, hospital operation, medical purchases (including consumables and instrumentation)
  • Strong aptitude for teamwork and adaptability to the’ emergency
  • Mastery of computer tools (Excel and Word, ideally ERP)
  • English fluent read, written and spoken
  • Field trips to be planned

CONDITIONS

  • CDD of 12 months
  • Full-time position, based at the Siege of’association, Paris 75015
  • Desired start date : march 2024
  • Proposed salary: 31k – 36k according to profile and experience
  • 80% mutual support%
  • Ticket Meal of’a value of 10.83 euros supported at 60%
  • Transport subscription reimbursement up to 50%
  • 23 days of annual RTT
