Senior Analyst and Security Officer At Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe


CARGO OBJECTIVE: Looking for a person to support Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH) and her partner organizations in the production of programmatic and safety reports, based on data analysis.
It is estimated that 50% of time will be dedicated to supporting the program area and 50% to supporting the security area divided as well – Context Analysis for the Security Area. (35%) and Support in security procedures. (fifteen%)
REPORTS TO: Technical advisory and partner strengthening manager.
PLACE FOR THE PROVISION OF SERVICE: Bogotá / Cajicá – Cundinamarca.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Eventually to the areas where Diakonie works.
CONTRACT KIND: Indefinite term employment contract. Full time.
MODALITY: Supplemental Teleworking – With face-to-face meetings.
SALARY UNTIL 2024: $ 5,371,928 More legal benefits. BENEFITS SINCE JANUARY 2025: $ 6,500,000 More legal benefits and there will be 30 days of vacation.

DESCRIPTION OF MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Data analysis for the program area: (50%)

  • Analysis of qualitative and quantitative data for needs assessment, measurement of indicators, post-distribution monitoring and studies.
  • Production of reports that facilitate the interpretation of primary and secondary data to the DKH team and its partner organizations.

Context Analysis for the security area. (35%)

  • Maintain communication with DKH partner organizations, mainly in Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador.
  • Obtain secondary information about incidents and risks through safety nets and other reliable sources.
  • Construction of risk maps and other instruments that allow a security analysis.
  • Monthly update or when necessary from the previous point.
  • Maintain a network of contacts and represent DKH at security and access meetings when necessary.

Support in security procedures. (fifteen%)

  • Supervise the movements of the personnel in coordination with the partners and inform the security coordinator about irregularities in the movements.
  • Support the security coordinator in writing security alerts to staff and partners, when necessary.
  • Prepare incident reports in conjunction with affected personnel.
    Inform visitors and new staff about security procedures.
  • Support updates to HSS documentation.
  • Support the design and implementation of training on security procedures for personnel.

SEARCHED PROFILE
Minimum experience required and skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of work in humanitarian NGO or human rights.
  • Minimum experience of three (3) years in data analysis
  • A college degree related to the role is required.

Professional skills:

  • Spanish domain, fluides of desirable English.
  • Demonstrated experience with representation and facilitation of meetings.
  • Solid knowledge of information technology and use of Microsoft, SPSS, NVIVO, KOBO, POWER BI and other platforms.
  • Alignment with humanitarian principles.

Personal skills:

  • Organizational capacity.
  • Ability to work as a team and adapt to changes.
  • Capacity for multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Optimal handling adaptability of Microsoft Office programs.

Desirable:

  • Experience with security management.
  • Statistical knowledge in general.
  • Experience with developing primary data collection instruments
  • Mastery.
