World Vision International – Global Center is issuing an RFI which is intended to gather insights related to AI-Enhanced Emergency Logistics Capacity Assessment Tool on available solutions to understand current market offerings.
Our aim is to present this solution for donor approval and funding, with the goal of identifying the potential solution and service provider that can best develop the AI-Enhanced Emergency Logistics Capacity Assessment Tool.
Upon receiving donor approval, we will formally engage with the selected service provider to implement the solution.
The AI-Enhanced Logistics Capacity Assessment initiative aims to revolutionize emergency logistics by developing an AI-driven platform to streamline, standardize, and optimize the collection, analysis, and reporting of logistics data.
This initiative will improve preparedness and response efforts across INGOs and local partners, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of emergency response operations.
Evaluation Criteria
• Technical Fit: How well the solution meets the technical and functional requirements.
• Cost-Effectiveness: Comparison of the solution’s costs relative to its benefits.
• Vendor Experience: Assessment of the vendor’s experience and success in similar projects.
• Implementation Feasibility: Feasibility of the proposed implementation plan and timeline.
Purpose and Goals: The AI-Enhanced Logistics Capacity Assessment initiative aims to revolutionize emergency logistics by developing an AI-driven platform to streamline, standardize, and optimize the collection, analysis, and reporting of logistics data. This initiative will improve preparedness and response efforts across INGOs and local partners, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of emergency response operations.
The initiative aligns with global strategic goals to enhance emergency response capabilities and improve humanitarian logistics. It should be designed to be easily deployed globally, regionally, or within specific countries, facilitating widespread use among INGOs and local partners.
Importance of the Initiative: The Logistics Capacity Assessment (LCA) tool is critical for providing information about logistics infrastructure, contacts, and services within a given country. It helps standardize this information across multiple countries and supports emergency preparedness efforts by assessing and identifying capacities and gaps. The current LCA format, used by World Vision and similar to the WFP/Logistics Cluster, is manually filled in and checked annually. WVI uses a word document format and WFP is an online format (both LCAs are attached). Given the valuable insights this document provides, the format poses challenges in consolidation and analysis to generate comprehensive reports. Currently, World Vision International (WVI) manually prepares its internal LCA analysis, and there is no consolidated LCA report generated globally or regionally by NGOs.
Expectations of the AI-Based LCA Tool:
- Enhanced Efficiency: Automated data entry and real-time updates
- Improved Accuracy: Standardized data formats and error reduction
- Automated Reports: Generation of comprehensive consolidated reports
- Advanced Analytics: Enhanced data analysis capabilities
- Improved Communication: Streamlined information sharing
- Scalability and Flexibility: A scalable solution (Globally, Regionally and country specific among WVI and other NGO partners) with customizable features.
- Multilingual capabilities: including automatic translation for reports and analyses.
Technical Requirements:
Functional Requirements
- Data Collection: Methods for automating data entry and ensuring real-time updates.
- Data Analysis: Capabilities for predictive analytics, forecasting, and advanced data analysis.
- Reporting: Features for generating automated reports and visualizing data through dashboards and probably map.
- User Interface: Description of the user interface, including ease of use and customization options.
- Security and Compliance: Measures for data security, regulatory compliance and privacy.
Non-Functional Requirements
- Scalability: Ability to scale the solution to handle large datasets and multiple users.
- Performance: Expected performance metrics, including response times and uptime.
- Reliability: Measures to ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
- Flexibility: Customization options to adapt the tool to specific regional or organizational needs.
