We are looking for a Livelihoods and Food Security (MESA) Program Manager for Oxfam in Chad. This position reports directly to the Program Directorate. The person in this position will be responsible for Oxfam’s resilience actions in Chad. Their mission is to anticipate, monitor, define, propose and lead Oxfam’s climate challenges in the country, by analyzing the context and proposing a relevant program and projects in a global Nexus approach.
WHAT WILL YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES BE?
- Contribute to the design, formulation/revision and implementation of Oxfam’s new country strategy in Chad (2024-2027) in line with Oxfam’s global strategy
- Be responsible for the design, review and implementation of Oxfam’s MESA strategy in Chad and ensure its alignment with the Oxfam strategy
- Coordinate and lead the development of MESA Program people in compliance with the organization’s HR standards and policies.
- Coordinate and ensure the efficient implementation of MESA projects (technical and financial) according to Oxfam’s standards and programmatic qualities
- Contribute to the mobilization of financial resources and the loyalty of donors
- Ensure increasing participation of local partners in the implementation of MESA programs
- Ensure the efficient and timely production of donor and grant reports to the Program area

WHAT DO WE OFFER?
- Start date: October 2024
- 9 month contract initially
- Gross annual salary: 41,289 Euros gross/year
- Place of work: Ndjamena with regular travel to the bases
- Accommodation at Oxfam Guesthouse
- Leave: 34 days per year (including public holidays)
- Insurance, per diem, accommodation, R&R, travel at the expense of Oxfam according to the conditions in force

Essential criteria
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the NGO sector, including at least 3 years in the field in positions of responsibility in Livelihoods and Food Security Programs
- Knowledge of the nexus, humanitarian leadership, community engagement and safe programming and their application
- Experience working with national humanitarian partners
- Experience in carrying out exploratory missions, formulation, monitoring and evaluation of development and humanitarian projects
- Experience in team management, training and group dynamics
- Experience in context analysis and security management
