Focus on the Technical & Capitalization Service

The Technical & Capitalization Service consists of 13 people. The STC is the guarantor of the development and respect of the policies and frameworks of’sectoral interventions in line with the sectors of’ intervention of PUI. He accompanies the teams at headquarters and in the field to improve the technical quality of the interventions carried out. The STC intervenes transversally in all the missions of the’organisation with a focus on 3 specific objectives: the technical and programmatic support to the operations through the’ technical and strategic support, capitalization and technical standardization, strengthening the technical capacities of the’organization.

And the Referee of Monetary Interventions in all this?

As Referent of Monetary Interventions, you will be in charge of the technical and strategic support of the missions on the Monetary Interventions component, under the supervision of the Head of Technical Service and Capitalization. You will share your activities between visits to the missions you will be in charge of and the headquarters (40% mission – 60% headquarters).

For this purpose, your responsibilities will be as follows :

  • Strategy Monetary interventions headquarters and country : You will participate in the implementation and the’actualization of the’ intervention framework on Monetary Interventions according to the evolution of the project portfolio, to the development and implementation of the programming of the Technical Service and Capitalization of Headquarters in connection with the multi-year strategy of the’ organization. You will also ensure the respect of the’intervention framework on Monetary Interventions of the’Association, you will strengthen technical guides on early recovery, including economic recovery, and propose implementation methodologies. You will support the technical references Health, SANME and EHA on themes and projects including cash transfers.
  • Technical and programmatic support : You will provide strategic and technical support to field teams during the different phases of the project cycle for regular, exploratory or emergency’ missions. You will support and validate the methodologies of’investigations and’assessment in connection with Monetary Interventions. You will also ensure the follow-up/supervision of’ teams in the field and compliance with the implementation of technical standards. You will support missions on the development of early recovery programmes.
  • Capitalization and standardization : You will ensure the capitalization on Monetary Interventions, the dissemination on missions of procedures, practices and know-how related to projects on Monetary Interventions, etc, you will participate in the formalization of’outils in the service of missions, and contribute to the dissemination of technical knowledge at headquarters and field teams.
  • Contribution to the recruitment and training of teams : You will participate in the recruitment and training of technical profiles in Monetary Interventions, you will provide their briefing and debriefing at the start and return of the mission and you will also contribute to the capacity building of the headquarters and field teams.
  • Representation, communication and coordination : You will represent PUI in the context of external’events, support missions by representing PUI to donors and participate in coordination meetings.

The challenges ahead of you:

1/Technical support to missions on the issues of Money Transfers and the use of this modality on the ground 2/ Capitalization of tools and approaches based on money transfers for PUI 3/ Strengthening of the IUP teams on the modality of cash transfers 4/Work on the development of partnerships

What you will need to succeed

  • Formation : You can justify d’a higher degree (min. Master 2 or equivalent) in project management, international relations, political science or in a field of’ technical expertise.
  • Experience : You are strong of’a experience of five years minimum in NGOs of international solidarity in management and implementation of projects including a significant experience of implementation of’ monetary interventions. You have significant experience in technical support for in-person and remote money transfer programming. Have you ever held a similar position ? This will be highly appreciated. Have you worked with First International Emergency ? It will be an undeniable asset !
  • Skills : Do you have a strong understanding of global policy debates on money transfers and recent trends and developments in program research, trends and innovation? A good understanding of the interventions to support the means of’ in emergency and recovery (early), and integrated programming? This post is for you !
  • Qualities required : You show a good spirit of’analysis and synthesis, are a good communicator, both in the written’ and’oral, have the taste of teamwork and skills for training. You show reactivity, flexibility,’adaptability,’organization, and have a good resistance to stress.
  • Languages : Do you speak French and English fluently ? So much the better, it’is essential for this post !

PUI will propose

  • Status: Framework
  • Salary: 3300 EUR gross monthly over 12 months
  • Medical coverage: 100% of the mutual Health and Providence
  • Support: Support up to 50% of the ticket and up to 60% of Restaurant Tickets (with a face value of 10€)
  • Rest: 5 weeks of paid leave per year + 1 RTT per month (37h/week)
