Red Cross Option Program Manager At French Red Cross


A major player in the social and solidarity economy, the French Red Cross relies on the daily commitment of 75,000 volunteers in 1,000 local units, and 17,000 employees working in 624 health, social and medico-social and training establishments.

Within the Department of Education, Prevention and Family Ties, you will join the Education for Resilience and Promotion of International Humanitarian Law division, which actively participates in the association’s educational project, by establishing a framework favorable to engagement and making individual and collective resilience a priority.

1) Allow the mass deployment of Red Cross options in educational and teaching structures in France

Support, accompany and empower the network of Red Cross Options managers, and also aim to empower educational teams to run Red Cross Options.
Catalyze the desire for commitment within the volunteer network on Red Cross Options coordination functions.
Continuously improve the program’s service offering and test the best economic model.
Work on measuring social impact, particularly on the psychosocial skills acquired by young people.

2) Implement the programme roadmap and action plan

Participate in the recruitment strategy for new volunteer profiles.
Work on structuring the Red Cross Option volunteer network.
Identify key players to massify the program and bring together a community of committed players.
Monitor and manage the program’s deployment.
Manage the updating and design of new educational resources.

3) Ensure monitoring and building of partnerships

Ensure the implementation, monitoring and coordination of financial and business partnerships.
Initiate new associative and institutional collaborations to promote the sharing of expertise and the scaling up of the program.
Identify new sources of financing, set up and manage the corresponding files.

4) Supervise, lead and coordinate the activity of the team under his/her responsibility

Lead, develop and unite the team by implementing collective and individual management rituals.
Ensure the quality of life at work within the team, prevent professional risks.
Supervise, control and evaluate the missions and activities delegated to its collaborators.

With higher education in management/bac+5 (master’s degree, diploma from a leading international school), you have at least 3 years of successful initial experience in association development or program management in complex environments.

Knowledge of youth movements and popular education would be an asset.
This experience has allowed you to develop your managerial skills and master teamwork in a dynamic of co-construction and development with all interlocutors. Interpersonal skills, diplomacy and a sense of service are all key skills to succeed in this position.

Knowledge of the world of education and public educational policies as well as an understanding of institutional and financial issues would be appreciated.
