Focus on the Logistics Service
The Logistics Department is made up of 8 people. The mission of its members is to support the field teams, by controlling logistics procedures and practices.
And the Purchasing and Shipping Manager in all this?
As a Purchasing Manager, you will be in charge of the proper functioning of “purchasing – shipping” activities from the supply chain from Headquarters to the Field.
To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:
International purchases and transport: You will be in charge of receiving and controlling purchase requests transmitted from the field. You will be in charge of carrying out these purchases while ensuring the eligibility of costs and respecting internal procedures and compliance with donor procedures. You will manage the stocks of materials and equipment that pass through the headquarters. You will follow international freight from the start (supplier or headquarters) until it is taken over by the mission. You will ensure that the risks associated with the purchase and transport of inputs are controlled.
Administrative management and archiving: You will be in charge of controlling and transmitting invoices to the relevant department. You will be in charge of classifying and archiving purchasing files carried out by the supply branch. You will participate in audits.
Capitalization and improvement of practices: You will participate in the reflection, development and implementation of the service’s strategy and tools. You will support other departments in drafting projects and developing budgets on issues relating to procurement.
Human Resources: You will participate in briefings and debriefings of expatriate staff.

What you will need to succeed
Formation
You can demonstrate training in logistics, supply chain and/or humanitarian logistics.
Experience
You have experience in a similar position at the headquarters of an NGO or you have professional experience of at least one year in procurement. Have you already worked with Première Urgence Internationale? This will be an undeniable asset!
SKILLS
You have experience in transport (incoterms, import/export customs procedures). Do you know the purchasing procedures of the main institutional donors? It’s a plus !
Required qualities
You demonstrate good interpersonal skills, ease of communication, both written and oral, and you have a taste for teamwork. You demonstrate reliability and a sense of responsibility, rigor and organization, responsiveness, adaptability and you have negotiation skills. You have excellent resistance to stress and an ability to work under pressure.

PUI will offer you
Status frame
Salary: 3000 EUR gross monthly over 12 months
Medical coverage: 80% of health and welfare mutual insurance
Coverage: Coverage of 50% of the transport ticket and 60% of Restaurant Tickets (with a face value of €9)
Rest : 5 weeks of paid leave per year + 1 RTT per month (37 hours/week)
