Salary Range: $70,000 – $91,000 Depending on experience
Role and Responsibilities
You will work closely with the Managing Director of our Financial Health focus area and serve as their “right hand” to help manage projects, capacity planning, compliance, and reporting. You will also work closely with the Principal Behavioral Designers to manage all administrative and operational aspects of the Financial Health team’s work at ideas42, including supporting communications efforts. The Managing Director will lean on you to troubleshoot problems and handle the day-to-day needs of running the focus area with the Principal Behavioral Designers. You will be responsible for identifying key team performance metrics, helping the team achieve those metrics, and tracking progress. You must be able to effectively communicate, think strategically, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
Your responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
- Oversee the compliance and contracting, grant invoicing and reporting processes of all projects in the focus area
- Track staffing allocation and financial information and ensure key budget and performance metrics are met, managed, and reported
- Ensure our business development trackers, financial and project forecasting, project scoping management, and capacity planning are up to date
- Support communications activities, including managing stakeholder lists and outreach schedules, keeping track of key focus area activities and identifying opportunities for publicizing our work, and potentially drafting communications pieces about insights and activities coming out of the Financial Health focus area
- Manage focus area meetings (agenda setting and facilitation) and lead the team on innovative ways to ensure we achieve impact-driven project management from business development through to project execution
- Be a culture champion within the Financial Health Focus area to ensure the work is done in an environment that supports team development, goals, and drives impact
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Substantial experience leading complex projects with multiple work streams
- Strong written and verbal communication with a commitment to high-quality output
- Experience managing project budgets, reporting grants and/or contracts to foundations, government agencies, and private sector partners, resource allocation, and project management for multiple projects of ~$300k+ each
- Experience leading meetings and building positive team relationships (both in-person and remotely)
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite applications
- Commitment to promoting social good and cultivating psychologically safe work environments
Preferred qualifications
- Experience as a Chief of Staff, Project Manager, or related executive support role
- Experience working in Financial Health, Financial Services, or with low-income communities
- Highly organized with the ability to work efficiently and effectively
- People oriented with the ability to remain even and communicate well with a range of audiences
- Interest in behavioral science and its applications in the Financial Health sector
