1. DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION

Premises – ENGIM in the country

The first structured project in Mali was carried out in 2007 and since then ENGIM has continued to work on it continuously, even in the period of crisis that began with the rebellion in the north of the country in 2012.

Since 2012 ENGIM has been accredited as an international NGO operating in the country at the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Local Collectives of Mali.

ENGIM operates in Mali in different areas of the country: in the district of Bamako, in the Kayes and Kita region, in the Mopti region (Mopti circles, Koro and Bankass) and in the Koulikoro Region.

Normally engaged in development cooperation projects, ENGIM in Mali has been working on emergency projects for years. The priority areas of intervention in the country are food safety, professional training and business incubation.

Main responsibilities

  • Coordination, management and supervision of the project “ Training, Business and Work to promote inclusive and sustainable development – FIL ” funded by AICS
  • Follow and ensure the monitoring of activity indicators;
  • Prepare the operational work plan and project documentation and any changes to the initial work plan;
  • Plan and ensure the selection of beneficiaries on the basis of the defined criteria;
  • Manage the staff assigned to the project, following the work plans of each staff member, developing a team spirit;
  • Plan and accompany the process of identifying and purchasing goods for beneficiaries;
  • Ensure that monitoring systems are put in place on time;
  • Ensure that security systems for all project staff are guaranteed and implemented;
  • Regularly monitor the correct implementation of all field activities, providing information on a periodic basis as needed;
  • Prepare periodic activity reports and reports for the donor;
  • Manage coordination with project partners.

2. CANDIDATE PROFILE: REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience of at least two years in the management of international cooperation projects, at least one of which is in the field
  • Proven experience in presentation and management of project proposals of institutional financiers (AICS, UE, MAECI, ect.) And private foundations;
  • Degree in matters relating to international cooperation and / or in economic matters;
  • Previous experience in the field of professional training and / or desirable professional insertion;
  • Excellent knowledge of the French and Italian language;
  • Good knowledge of accounting and administrative management;
  • Knowledge of the monitoring and evaluation methodology;
  • Good IT skills, especially MS Office package;
  • Interest and motivation to work in a non-governmental organization respecting its principles and values;
  • Knowledge of the context of West Africa and of highly complex social contexts.

The presence of previous experiences in West Africa and in particular in Mali is a preferential requirement.
