Programme Quality Assurance Lead – Remote At Mary’s Meals


We are delighted to be recruiting a Quality Assurance Lead to join our Programme Development & Operations team here at Mary’s Meals International (MMI). In this impactful new role, you will lead on Programme Quality Assurance and the roll out of the Quality Assurance framework across our school feeding programmes in 17 countries, with a focus on quality, simplicity and stewardship across our programmes.

Reporting to the Head of Programme Operations, you will collaborate across the Mary’s Meals family to drive continuous improvement across our programmes and will provide leadership, guidance and direction to the Quality Assurance Manager to uphold the required quality standards of our School Feeding Delivery Model. You will lead on the implementation of our Programme Quality Assurance roadmap and will forge strong working relationships across MMI, Programme Affiliates and Programme Partners.

Key duties:

  • Collaborate across our programmes to develop improvements in our programme delivery and ensure adherence to our quality standards.
  • Conduct data analysis on quality assurance findings for operational and learning purposes.
  • Lead on the development and implementation of quality assurance strategies to align with the overarching strategic plan.
  • Lead, develop, coach and inspire your team, promoting a culture of engagement and empowerment including identifying and implementing opportunities for delegation and development.
  • Review and approve quality assurance plans, assessment methodologies, and reports developed by the Quality Assurance Manager, providing feedback and guidance as necessary.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for issues or challenges encountered during quality assurance assessments, providing support and guidance to the Quality Assurance Manager as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager to develop and deliver training programs for programme staff on quality assurance best practices.
  • Role-model Mary’s Meals values and leadership behaviours.
  • Travel to our programmes as needed to support the implementation of the Quality Assurance roadmap.

About you:

Our ideal candidate will be a proven leader with strong working knowledge of quality assurance principles and methodologies. With strong experience of programme evaluation, you will bring experience of implementing quality assurance strategies and frameworks in global contexts, ideally within the international development sector. You will have proven experience of building strong trust-based relationships and building capacity across a broad cultural and geographical spectrum. Strong analysis skills and experience of working with CRM applications is essential. Experience of project and change management would be beneficial.

We are happy for you to work remotely, however there will be a requirement for regular travel to countries where Mary’s Meals operates, as part of your role.
