ABOUT THE WFP
The World Food Program ( WFP, ) is the leading life-saving and life-changing humanitarian organization, providing food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience, assisting 97 million people each year in 88 countries. In Venezuela, WFP provides food assistance to approximately 400,000 people through a school meal program, with the goal of reaching 1.3 million people in areas with the highest incidence of food insecurity by the end of 2025. WFP Venezuela has an operational presence in eight states, with the possibility of expansion.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
Under the supervision and guidance of the Field Coordinator in each state, and the RAM team in the national office; the Program Associate – RAM will be in charge of leading, manage and coordinate monitoring activities in the field, ensuring the quality of the data collected, the effective systematization of information, compliance with samples and implementation of the monitoring plan established by WFP.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES ( indicative and non-exhaustive list ):
- Coordinate work teams, including remote coordination.
- Ensure and coordinate the execution of the monitoring schedule and the collection of quantitative and qualitative data in line with the field office plan and in line with the monitoring strategy from the country office.
- Train and supervise the implementing partners in the different monitoring activities to guarantee the collection of quality data and the fulfillment of the indicated representative samples.
- Train and supervise the field office monitoring teams in the different monitoring activities and quantitative and qualitative tools to ensure quality data collection and compliance of the representative samples indicated.
- Coordinate technical activities with the field office and implementing partners, in accordance with the Country Office Learning Strategy.
- Constantly report the status of monitoring processes in the field office, as well as relevant findings for program implementation.
- Provide tools to field teams for the correct development of community approaches according to the standards established by WFP.
- Support in the implementation and development of needs analysis and mapping activities.
- Provide feedback on the performance of the monitoring teams in your charge.
- Carry out other activities required at the request of the supervisor and that are online for the purpose of the position.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sociology, Social Work, Anthropology, Education, Psychology, Pedagogical Sciences, Political Science or another related field.
Experience: 6 years of professional experience, of which at least two ( 2 ) years of experience ( are desirable after completing the university degree ) in the field of monitoring and evaluation or project management in humanitarian projects and in the preparation of reports to present progress on sample compliance.
Experience leading teams and generating strategies with working groups to meet various objectives.
Competences:
- Managing data visualization tools to present program implementation progress.
- Advanced Microsoft Office package management.
- Experience in monitoring monitoring monitoring plans in humanitarian projects.
- Notion on construction issues and indicator design.
- Coordination in gathering information on the ground.
- Mastery of quantitative and qualitative analytical tools and methods
Languages: Domain ( C level ) of the official United Nations language used at the duty station and of the language spoken at the duty station, if different.
