Tasks and responsibilities

  •  Review, respond, and follow up on requests, inquiries, and claims on human resources issues; provide information available in office files and databases;
  •  Collect and review supporting documentation to process various human resource actions related to recruitment, staffing, organizational design, development and learning of staff, policy and / or regulations related to social security and administration;
  •  Coordinate the process of recruiting non-permanent plant personnel ( NSHR ), including preparing vacancy announcements; communicate with candidates and issue contracts, where appropriate;
  •  Support supervisors in monitoring the contractual status of NSHR staff; assist in the preparation and timely issuance of contract renewals;
  •  Verify and maintain attendance records and other documents and reports for NSHR staff;
  •  Maintain personnel files ensuring that all documentation is complete; maintain and update confidential information and documents, and ensure that relevant documents are kept in their respective files;
  •  Provide information on staff evaluation mechanisms according to current FAO policies and practices.
  •  Prepare training plans for staff following the relevant requests from the FAOR Assistant.
  •  Assist in the management of internal human resources procedures.
  •  Implement actions to improve the office’s work environment.
  •  Write routine correspondence; assist in the preparation of administrative reports; attend with briefings; take notes at meetings;
  •  Maintain the confidentiality of all matters dealt with.
  •  Perform other tasks as needed.

THE CANDIDATES WILL BE EVALUED IN ARRANGE TO THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA

Minimum requirements

  •  Mexican nationality
  •  Practical knowledge ( level C ) of Spanish and average knowledge ( level B ) of one of the other FAO languages
  •  Graduated in administrative or financial careers
  •  Minimum experience of 3 years in positions related to human resources and project assistance at national or regional level.
