Logistics Coordinator – Conakry – GUINEA (H/F) At French Red Cross


Intervention and positioning of the CRF in Guinea :

CRF has been present in Guinea since the beginning of the spread of the Ebola epidemic in April 2014, at the request of the Guinean Red Cross and the Guinean Ministry of Health. She contributed to the response against Ebola virus disease through the management of the Ebola Treatment Centers in Macenta and Forecariah. After this phase of health emergency, the action of the French Red Cross with financial support from the Canadian Red Cross, the MAEDI and OFDA, turned to support the Ministry of Health to strengthen its capacity to prevent any further resurgence of an outbreak of Ebola virus disease (EVD) in the prefectures of Forecariah, Coyah and Macenta, then towards the strengthening of the health system (RSS) in Macenta prefecture, in close collaboration with the Guinean Red Cross.As part of the 2018 — 2020 grant from the Global Fund to fight Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

La CRF et la CRG ont été retenues pour assurer conjointement le rôle de sous-récipiendaire du Programme Nationale de Prise en charge sanitaire et de Prévention des IST/VIH/SIDA (PNPCSP) issu du Ministère de la Santé Publique guinéen, dans le domaine de soutien psychosocial et du dépistage communautaire, avec une couverture nationale. Cette convention triennale vient d’être reconduite pour la période 2021-2023.

Since March 2020, Guinea is facing the Covid-19 pandemic, the response is organized by the Ministry of Health via ANSS (National Agency for Health Security). As a technical partner of ANSt the French Red Cross (CRF) in partnership with the Guinean Red Cross (CRC) supports the country in preparing for and responding to the COVID-19 outbreak. This response funded by the DUE since 08/2020, integrates since February 2021 activities related to the Ebola epidemic that began in the forest region on 14/02/2021, N’Zerekore prefecture.

Finally, since August 2021, the CRF in partnership with the CRG, participates in the fight against the COVID19 epidemic in particular through the support to vaccination, thanks to funding from DG ECHO as part of a partnership with the International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC).

Qualifications & experiences

Training in logistics (such as Bioforce or bachelor level in logistics) and experience in a similar position or at least 3 years in a position of Logistics Coordinator and field logistician
