The Logistics Coordination has the general objective of ensuring the programmatic, technical, financial and logistical development of the Colombia mission of Action against Hunger in all aspects of Logistics Management (70%) and Emergency Management (30%).
The function leads, coordinates and ensures effectiveness and efficiency in actions and projects; guaranteeing respect for institutional procedures (internal and donors) in everything related to Purchase Management (vehicles, furniture, office equipment, inventories, security, etc.). It also leads the development and implementation of emergency and humanitarian logistics actions and projects.
The main activities you will carry out are the following:

Specific objective 3: Supervision of the personnel in charge.
Specific objective 4: Security management.

Professional entitled in: the area of engineering, social sciences or related.
Ideally demonstrated experience of: five (5) years in the logistics management of humanitarian projects and development. Demonstrated work experience in areas of emergency and conflict. Demonstrated experience in security management. 3-year experience in team management and leadership. Knowledge and experience in the WASH area will be valued. Knowledge in supply chain, vehicle fleet management, warehouse, equipment and goods management, pre-positioning management of emergency material will be valued, needs planning and resource forecasting, development cooperation project management and HR management.
Languages: Intermediate level of spoken and written English.
Specific office and systems: Windows domain and advanced Excel management. Knowledge of ICT tools (Power BI type) is highly valued.
Desirable: General knowledge of the organization and its intervention sectors.
Mobility: Very high availability for geographic mobility (travel to the country’s and region’s emergency areas for periods of between 1 week and several months. Mobility to support territorial bases.
